Food and atmosphere were great. Service was very good. Enjoyed the respite from the heat for a cold brew and some good Mexican food.

El Rincon is a little more spendy than what I am used to for Mexican food, but it was really good. What do you expect from a touristy area like Sedona? The tamales were exceptional (I tried both kinds). They seem to be known for the chimichangas so we got the machaca. It was really tasty, but smothered in sauce it lost its crispness. Maybe sauce on the side would be the way to go. Margaritas are very strong, but when you drop $8.75 I would expect nothing less. Surroundings are neat and I would recommend this place.

Side note.... Waiter was a talker and I am sure full of it. "Big property owner in the area", "independently wealthy", "wife is a physicists",.... On and on.... Why are you waiting tables again?

We ate here because it was close to the Los Abrigados resort. Will never go back. High prices, so-so food, lame service

Lived in Arizona for most of my life and El Rincon has always been our favorite place to eat in Sedona. A little more secluded in in its corner of Tlaquepaque, the food and service has never disappointed. The guacamole is the best I've ever had, and have always been pleased by the rest of the items on the menu although I usually resort to the cheese enchilada which is my favorite. Can't go wrong at El Rincon

But that's where it stops short. Stopped by for a margarita and dessert. Margarita was good but the chips and salsa were nothing special, I think the chips came out of a bag, not what you would expect from what is supposed to be a pricey upscale Mexican restaurant. The dessert Chimi was small and nothing special. Not worth returning. Must be surviving on tourist traffic.
