“Never Gets Old”
Reviewed 26 August 2014

I have visited this place many times since moving to the Phoenix area two years ago. It is my sanctuary in the middle of this desert. Im a beach person at heart but this place puts me at complete peace. There is something about those red rocks and driving through them that gives me peace of mind. The calming, untouched nature gives fantastic photo ops and the bit of cooler weather is wonderful change from the desert heat.

“Not to be missed....”
Reviewed 26 August 2014

We had visited Sedona with some family members and took the byway on our way back to I-17. The views are great and it is not to be missed!

“A must drive”
Reviewed 26 August 2014

The word scenic does not do justice to this highway. It is newly improved and when you come from I-17 from the south, be prepared to have your breath taken away when you first see Bell Rock. Don't be in a hurry and utilize the stopping areas for lots of photos. You won't be disappointed.

“Awesome drive to see things”
Reviewed 26 August 2014

First time to Sedona and we took the drive on route SR179 - its an amazing way to start seeing the things around you and stopping at the little turnouts to take pictures. Definitely a way to start the trip.

“Views,views, views!”

A great ride (unless some pokey recreational vehicles in front of you), especially when no particular rush. The altitude changes are amazing.
