“Hate this Place, will never return”
Reviewed 19 August 2011

Villa had an OLD and musty smell.Used a whole bottle of Fabreeze. Place should have been aired out before renting.
There was a nice flat screen in living room. The bedreeom had an old Zenith tv. You cannot watch tv in the bedroom and living room at the same time because of half/wall between the two rooms. The furniture is very nice and of great quality, except for the old tv in bedroom. There is not a resturant on the premises. You have to pay $50.00 if you ever want housekeeping services. That is for each occurace. The linen was of excellent quality. I could not use my mobile phone.

This was a nice one bedroom unit with lovely views and sounds from the very near babbling creek. The room was clean and linens crisp.
The only caveat was, if you have ATT phone carrier, beware.. lucky to get one bar in the lower one bedroom units.
And the free WiFi? We were there 3 days and only had connection when, after repeated frustrating calls, they, on the last day, in the afternoon, placed a modum in our bedroom. The other modums that were offered were out of commission. The front desk man actually called the cable people and they called us...we had to make arrangements with them to correct the problem.
The assistant manager, when advised of the problem, on that 3rd day, was right there to assist. Thank you, sir.
oh, and the extra coffee and services have a charge.. nothing complimentary after that first day.

Room Tip: make sure free wifi actually has wifi service

The Villas of Poco Diablo is a very nice place. We stayed for about a week in the 1 bedroom unit (family of 4 - two kids under 10). The room itself was in great shape with small kitchen, flat screen TV, jacuzzi tub and fire place. Also free wifi (although pretty slow). Clean and comfortable. The master bed was very high quality and I sleep great! The kids were on a pull out bed (sofa bed). The staff was also very warm and friendly.

There were a few factors that made it 4 star instead of 5. First was the privacy. The master bedroom does not have a ceiling. Also floors appeared to be on a raised foundation so I could hear the "thud, thud" of the guests in the next unit walking around.

The last factor was the location of the activities. The only activities physically at this property is a outdoor pool and jacuzzi. The indoor pool and club house where all the activities take place are at their sister property, Villas of Sedona, in town. It is only a few miles up the road but it still required getting the kids in the car. Unfortunately, this property is NOT associated with the Poco Diablo Resort that is right next door. With that said, they did have some pretty fun activities for the kids including games and crafts. The Navajo Indian speaker on Monday night was fantastic. Don't miss him.

Of course Sedona is beautiful. The red rock mountains are unbelievable. Overall I would recommend this property.

My wife and I explored Arizona for a week and used the Villas of Poco Diablo as our home base. The one-bedroom unit has many very nice features: large space, gas fireplace, excellent jacuzzi, small back yard area with a stream, very comfortable bed and linens, flat screen TV, and nice kitchenette. We definately enjoyed our stay. There are however, a few drawbacks that may concern some travelers: very uncomfortable couch in need of replacement, the one bedroom is seperated only by a wall and is open for an expanse near the ceiling (if one person gets up first, they must be very quiet to not disturb those sleeping in the bedroom), and very thin walls seperating the units (we could clearly hear their kids, TV, jacuzzi, etc.). If you are looking for reasonable accomodations in a beautiful setting close to Sedona, this is a good choice.

My significant other and I stayed for a week in early October. The room was a studio with a small kitchen (including dishwasher for the dishes and cups they provide), large bathroom (awesome tub), king sized bed, great little sitting area, and a view over a fountain pond with the Red Rocks in the distance. The kitchen saved us a ton of money as eating out in Sedona is expensive! It was gorgeous in the mornings and the nights were peaceful with the sound of the water. Everything about the place we liked immensely. It's close to town, but far away from the hustle and bustle. That side of the resort is small, so you won't deal with tons of people around. Plenty of privacy. I loved the quiet and stars in the evening. Close to tons of fabulous hiking spots. Will definitely stay again!
