Everything you've read here is true, no hype at all--all the luxury extras, beautiful views and rooms, tasty breakfasts, the warm graciousness of the owners (who actually live in the house and let you have the run of the place, how about that?), but what no one can show you in any photos or amenity descriptions is how you will feel after staying here. This place is like the very best of Sedona distilled into an acre of good red earth under a bright blue bowl of sky; and it is a rare space indeed that makes you feel like a better, more whole person for having been there. I swear, if Larry and Kathy threw up a tent here instead of a swell house, I'd still be willing to stay with them. (It is pleasant to have a bed without twitchy lizards for company, though!) Here is my advice for those who make their way here in the future: Please.. forget the high-tech stuff, turn off your phone, don't worry about your reality show season finale (there are books in the library here that say more in one paragraph than any twelve hours of television)--come here and dare to BE for a day or two. It is more than enough.
PS to the owners--Lindsay sends her sincere thanks.
