We have rearranged our trip to be able to come back to this charming place. I have stayed 3 times, and each time was upgraded. The rooms overlooking the creek are spectacular. The staff has southern hospitality (since that is where most of them are from). Absolutely one of the best places I have stayed. I will definitely return again!

Room Tip: Overlooking the creek have spectacular views.

I had the pleasure of spending my birthday weekend in the Oak Creek Suite at the Inn Above Oak Creek. It was the most beautiful suite I have ever been in, it had everything I could have asked for. A gourmet kitchen, jacuzzi tube for two, large walk-in closets and all the comforts of home. The manger Will was warm a friendly, making us feel welcome and among friends. The suite was the icing on my birthday cake.

Thank you!!!

My boyfriend and I spent 1 night in Sedona while driving across the country and had an excellent experience at the Inn on Oak Creek! The room was incredibly clean and cozy, with a great fireplace and nice bathroom. There was a great muffin/bagel spread with coffee/juice/tea for breakfast and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful! We wish we could have stayed for much longer and will certainly stay here again when we return to Sedona.

My wife and I celebrated our wedding here. We live in Sedona, but because Sedona is such a spectacular wedding destination, we decided to have our wedding here. Knowing all the resorts in town we decided on the Inn above Oak Creek because of its charm and location overlooking Oak Creek. We booked the Oak Creek Suite, which is a two story suite with a chef's kitchen including a 12 seat bar, a big screen TV that is hidden by a painting that raises and lowers. Surround sound music system, living room seating for 16 and a two level outdoor patio overlooking Oak Creek. The patio even has an extendable cover in case there is a monsoon shower.

This property is perfect for a wedding, anniversary, birthday or any other special event that you might want to entertain in your suite. Because the suite is two-stories, you can have privacy while your guests continue to enjoy themselves. You can book rooms for your guests and host the party in your suite. We actually had our wedding ceremony in the suite!

We would recommend this Inn without hesitation. Incredible!

Room Tip: Creekside rooms. They literally hang over Oak Creek. You can feed the ducks in the creek from your balcony.

The Inn on Oak Creek is a work in progress, as the current owner took over the property just about a year ago, and small incremental improvements are being made constantly. Not that it is under construction or otherwise inconveniencing. On the contrary, this inn could not get any more welcoming and relaxed.

This is my best inn stay since the late 1970s when I was a guest at the venerable Inn San Francisco. That facility was first rate, and the innkeeper was as friendly and accommodating as can be. The same can be said for Spence and his Inn on Oak Creek. It's not just the fine views, great lobby and stone fireplace lounge, fresh continental breakfast and new deep mattresses. The innkeeper and his staff make you feel like you are truly a welcomed guest, and they listen carefully to the needs of their customers.

We had a queen-sized corner room featuring an unimpeded creek view along with the red rocks. The view is so idyllic, it reminds one of a professional wall mural. The small balcony is just right for two, with no real noise from the highway on which the inn fronts. The bath features a Jacuzzi-type tub for two. Two relaxing overstuffed chairs make the room very homey. Various faux antiques give the room personality, far different than corporate cookie-cutter hotel rooms. The wine glasses, small LED TV and gas fireplace complete the look.

Even with all this going for it, the Inn would have been perhaps as high as 4 1/2 bullets were it not for the host and his personality which permeates the inn. He has books on trail hiking, advice on restaurants which he and his wife frequent, and invites you to store items in the common commercial refrigerator. Need anything? Just ask and not only will the staff respond positively, but a genuine effort will be made to exceed your expectations.

Parking is off street along the highway, with most of the spaces connected to the Inn by a footbridge over the Inn's creekside patio with outdoor grill and lounge chairs. If you are arriving from the south (Phoenix) you go past the Inn northbound and make a safe 360-degree rotation around the next traffic circle. No need to attempt a U-turn or left turn anywhere.

You could stay just a night, but really the soothing ambiance and relaxed vibe is best with two or more nights. You get to unwind and explore the various trails and vistas of Sedona, knowing when you return that everything will be home-like and peaceful. Stop by the nearby Safeway, and you can be amazed with the view on the balcony sipping Champagne and nibbling on fresh strawberries.

Whatever length of stay you are planning, you will regret not extending it a day or two what with all the daytime sightseeing and charming (but not "cutesy") accommodations. Plan on adding a day when you make your reservation, and you will not regret it. The Inn on Oak Creek unequivocally deserves its high rating and 100% recommendation rate.

Room Tip: The creek/red rock combination views give you two great vistas.
