“A Hidden Gem”

The Rose Tree Inn is only about a block off the busy main street of Sedona but when you're sitting in the garden, which is a mecca for birds, you'll feel a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of a tourist town. The large, comfortable rooms are like a throwback to the tourist courts of the 1950's or '60's. The rooms we stayed in could accommodate three or four easily with a king or two twin beds and a full sized futon. Each had a lovely kitchenette with all the amenities. Gary, the host, was friendly and personable. He was a great source of information about where to go, what to see and where to eat. The Rose Tree Inn is an oasis of calm and tranquility but just steps away from enough shops and eateries to keep you as busy as you want to be.

We stayed here for one night on our way to the Grand Canyon and loved it. As others have said, Gary (the innkeeper) is very friendly and has lots of great information and suggestions for visitors. Our room was simple, clean and comfortable, and had a well-equipped kitchen. The garden is beautiful, and has lots of good sitting options: we had a lovely time sitting side by side on the porch swing when we got back from dinner. We also ate our breakfasts outside so we could enjoy the hummingbirds. We'll stay longer next time.

We stayed at this small Inn for three nights. We stayed in a clean and cozy room with a small kitchen. The Inn has a small but very charming garden with many birds. Gary the friendly Innkeeper was very helpful and made a number of really good hiking suggestions which matched our physical capabilities well (dont miss hiking in this beautiful area). The Inn is not really a B&B as it does not serve breakfast but you can either go to some of the local restaurants or make it yourself in the kitchen. The Inn is located very close to the Uptown area which for us was not an attraction since it is where all the tourists seem to be concentrated. All in all this is a great and relaxing place to stay when exploring the Sedona area. We gave it 4 out of 5 stars since this is a really good but not excellent place.

We've stayed here twice and will again next year. It's just sooo comfortable. The owner is very nice and gives you tips on hiking trails. It is in the middle of the tourist area but it's nice to be able to walk to some of those places. It's true that this place isn't fancy, but it's perfect for people who don't worry about that. And the decorations... you just gotta love 'em. It's just out-dated but clean and cozy. There are washing machines, too. Can't wait to sit in the rose garden again.

Not only were we impressed with our 1 night stay last week, we really enjoyed the room. My friend and I stayed there and the grounds were exceptional and the room was clean and Gary was an excellent host. I know that both my friend and I agree that we will stay there any time we stay in Sedona. It's not a B&B but more of a quaint little country inn. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This must be the most peaceful, pleasant place to stay in the area. The packed uptown tourist area is only a block or two away-but the differerence feels like a world away. Rose Tree Inn is like an oasis. Our room was large, comfortable, had a full kitchen and free guest laundry was provided. We felt like we were visiting our kind Uncle Gary. You leave here refreshed. This is an excellent value.

We arrived unannounced on a trip round the South West (two couples) and were warmly welcomed by Gary (what a difference a warm welcome makes!). Excellent rooms with good facilities - the larger one was superbly equipped and could easily have served as a permanent apartment back home in crowded London. The building is rather older and with less rooms than most motels in the area, and attractive for that with a lovely garden populated by Hummingbirds and a host of other birds, and of course a multitude of roses. Gary was ever friendly and helpful, giving us sound advice on the best of Sedona. There was a choice of barbecues and we enjoyed our time with son in law serving up some juicy steaks. Laundry facilities were made use of, very much needed after our time on the road. All for no extra charge. Thoroughly recommended - but I guess you'll be lucky to get in without booking in high season.
