“This place exceeded our high expectations”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 May 2011

I had read a lot of reviews on Tripadvisor before booking this vacation, so I came in with high expectations. The Enchantment Resort and Mii amo spa exceeded all of them. The resort offerings were amazing, as I took advantage of the hiking and cooking class. My husband used the mountain bikes and did the wine tasting. The spa was incredible and made me feel very comfortable, even though I don't use spas very much. I appreciated being able to register for the classes in advance and would highly recommend other traveler's register for any of the limited sign-up activities right after you book your trip.

I was not sure what to expect with the Murphy Bed in the suite. It turned out to be just like a normal bed and was extremely comfortable. We used the kitchen for our lunches and dinners to save money and because we don't like to eat out. The staff at the resort will even do your dishes!

If you want to relax and get away, I highly recommend staying here.

Room Tip: Stay in the suite with the Murphy's Bed

As a returning guest, I had some pretty high expectations because the first time we stayed, it was remarkable! It met the mark again, if not exceeded them.

Fairly pricey but absolutely worth it!

Room Tip: Pay for a junior suite, etc. AWESOME!

We didn't stay at the hotel, but hand lunch at the cafe. The food was all really good, as were the drinks. Also, I'm not sure if it's spa-treatment induced relaxed vibes or everyone being slightly tipsy on drinks but everyone was really friendly. Strangers would strike up conversations with us that would have gone on for hours if not for us having to get going...

Best part is definitely the view which is just magnificent. You get to see a lot of those reddish rock formations in Sedona, but when you sit on this patio enjoying the five star service and delicious drinks and food, you get to enjoy seeing those rock formations on all sides... It's just a spectacular 360 degree view. Sunset was unbelievable.

Even if you stay elsewhere, come to Enchantment for a meal!

Room Tip: Even if you stay elsewhere, eat at Enchantment.

Had a wonderful stay at the Enchantment, a really beautiful place surrounded by red mountains and hiking, lots to do and very comfortable and friendly. The restaurant manager was extremely helpful with my dairy allergies and went out of his way to accomodate us. Excellent resort and staff - lots of activities and fun things to do just staying on the property.

First let me say the location is beautiful especially if you want to get away from noise & traffic. It takes at least 10 minutes to get to once you turn off highway 89A.
We stayed at Enchantment 5yrs. ago & loved everything about the resort. Nothing in our junior casita was updated except the coffeemaker(a single use Keurig). The room was nice & the bed was comfortable. The TV is old fashioned was would have been ok but the ONLY local channel that came in clear was NBC. The bathroom has a large shower & separate big tub. Unless you held the tiolet handle down it would not flush. Great views of Boyton Canyon from every window in our end room 476.
We asked to have an ionizer in our room when we arrived-GUESS WHAT not there. When we called we were brought a heater-not what I needed for my allergies. So the next day we called & left a note to remove the heater. Finally after 3 days my husband drove it up to the front desk & drop off the HEATER. Also when we arrived we were only give one bathrobe so we called. When the staff member arrived with our HEATER he informed us no one washed the bathrobes that day. It was late so we said ok & figured we would get another robd in the morning.WRONG WRONG WRONG-3 days later & after many requests we were finally given robe & GUESS WHAT-holes & very well worn.
There is a $25.00/day resort fee for which you get 2 small bottles of OJ, a newspaper & 2 bottles of water. There are plenty of activities which are included in the resort fee but if you want to see Sedona you can't stay at the resort constantly.
We choose Enchantment again because of the great time we had 5yrs. ago & because we were celebrating my birthday. For my birthday I was given a plate of chocolate covered strawberries & a small bottle of port wine. The wine was not drinkable-2 buck chuck makes better wine.
My husband & I have stayed in many hotels & resorts from inexpensive to 5 stars & have never been snubbed by housekeeping. The housekeepers were so rude that when you where walking they would actually turn their heads away. We even left them a tip everyday.
We did complain to management & were given a credit on our bill. The food at every restaurant is highly over priced for the quality- basically nothing special. Even the spa treatments were not as good as 5 yrs. ago. One drink at the spa pool $20.00. If your reservation includes any meals-take note an 18% gratuity is ALREADY INCLUDED. TiiGavo should stand for don't bother-over priced drinks & generic food.
Check over your bill carefully as we had several charges which were not ours. They did remove them but it takes while. We were told you can use the refrigerator just move the items around. We did move the items & I even left a note not to charge us but they did. We were charged >$10.00 for 2 sodas that were sitting right in the front. At least the charges were removed after we complained.
My suggestion would be stay somewhere else in Sedona but if you do stay at Enchantment eat elsewhere. I highly recommend the Coffee Pot for breakfast. Elote & Cucina Rustica for dinner. Anywhere in Jerome for lunch & dinner.

This was one of the most relaxing mini-vacations we have had in years.
The setting is stunning, the hikes offer beautiful panoramas, the spa food and amenities are first class. We'll be back .

The Enchantment resort is truly that! I have never been in a more beautiful environment. Peaceful and spititual. Enchantment offers many wonderful activities and can be educational as well. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Especially enjoyed chatting with our waiter, Brian, about Sedona and its legend. The food was excellent and well worth the amount paid. Cocktails were outstanding. The spa was beautiful. The pool relaxing (there were several pools). Complimentary orange juice and paper left outside your door each morning. Ask for a renovated room at the time of your booking. Ours was a little out-dated. Will definately return.

Room Tip: Ask for renovated room at time of booking
