“Wonderful Resort in wonderful setting”
Reviewed 31 August 2014

We stayed for 3 nights a couple of weeks ago and wished we could have stayed for longer.
The Resort is truly 1st class and the setting right next to Boytnon Canyon and a couple of miles from Sedona cannot be bettered.
We have marked Enchantment Resort as a "must come back to".

PurpleInk1969 must have stayed somewhere else>
"the surrounding rocks give the canyon an oppressive feel" ??.....the rocks ARE THE CANYON !!
That is why you come to the place? !

Room Tip: make sure you get a room with unobstructed view of the canyon. There are some rooms that have views...

I very seldom write this kind of reviews but I was compelled to write it about the very last review by a fellow from london...Purpleink1969.

I have stayed at many top star large hotels and boutique hotels. I have stayed at Enchantment Resort at least 4 times. We love this hotel, the seclusion, the privacy and beauty. The room, restaurant and facilities. It is just a fantastic special place. The spa, wonderful!.

I feel the last review is not fair and unjust. A very angry review from a guest that only has stayed one time. Please, ignore and read the other 100's of great reviews.

It's always sad to have to give a place a one star review, but here goes. Some people may not be aware what they are getting themselves into with a stay here. This is a distinctively American resort hotel of a certain kind. The architectural attention to detail is terrible. The whole place has a municipal feel: it seems like it might have been designed by an architect who otherwise did high schools or hospitals. The public areas are depressing in the extreme: dark smokey windows, huge ceilings with pretentious wall decorations. Everyone is trying hard but to no particularly good end. Worst of all, there's a nauseating smell of cheep air freshener in all the rooms and public places. The surrounding rocks give the whole canyon an oppressive feel. The pool area is often very crowded and never well maintained, with old towels and burgers left out for far too long. Some people will find no problem here but the fussy definitely will. Do take care!

We just returned from an extended road trip that ended with 3 nights (8/21 - 8/24/14) at the Enchantment Resort. We stayed in (first guests we were told) a newly remodeled casita (#5). The rooms themselves were tastefully decorated and comfortable. Specifically, we were in 105 & 305. We experienced a few maintenance issues due to the newness but management dealt with things effectively and efficiently.

The property itself is gorgeous. We did not take advantage of any spa services but we heard only good things about it from other guests. There is plenty to do for families right on the resort. The pools were crowed on the weekend but certainly usable. Wifi is free and adequate. Cell coverage (AT&T) was non-existent for us when at the resort.

While visiting Sedona over the weekend we took a drive to this resort for lunch. Although slightly off the beaten path it was beyond expectations in every way. The view when you walk into View 180 was unreal; the sight of Vista Point Vortex and beyond looked like a painting. Photographers dream!

We ate outside, which was the obvious choice. The waiter took his time to share his knowledge of the area and the food and presentation was great. A bit pricey but well worth it.

The resort itself is seems to compliment the surrounding area - peace, zen, and amazing views.

Can't wait to return to Sedona again and stay at this enchanted resort!

We have stayed at The Enchantment many times, and always as part of a business meeting. This trip was no different. We had one night with the business account, but the next as personal, to spend a couple of days there, unburdened by business for a change.

Well, mostly things went well, but when it came to room service, everything went wrong. We were out of our room (121) for most of the day with dining, spa and then the evening dining. We had housekeeping next door twice, and checked to be sure that they knew that we were ONLY in one part of a multi-bedroom layout, and were staying with them for an extra night. They all agreed, but did not service the room. We went to dinner at Chi-ah-Che, and informed the front desk, but the room was not serviced again. For whatever the reason, the housekeeping department could just not get it right, even with about 12 hours and several sets of instructions.

This is the first time that we have encountered such, but seems to indicate a breakdown.

Hope that things will be better on our next stay?

Nestled in a canyon of red rocks, this beautiful resort blends into the landscape. Perfectly manicured lawns and plants greet you as you drive down the road to the resort. This is where nature and man blend seamlessly together. One of the most stunningly beautiful resorts I have ever been to. It is not only exquisite, it is the land of happy. Everyone who works here is happy and genuinely nice. The staff cares about every one of your needs and goes out of their way to make sure you are happy. Fresh cucumber and lemon water are at points in the resort. We walked everywhere but if walking is not your thing then there are staff with golf carts to get you to where you want to go. This is one pristine resort. Rooms are tastefully decorated with many amenities. Fresh orange juice is at your door at 6 am. Kerig coffee makers are in the room with a fully stocked mini frig. Water bottles are plentiful and there when you need them (and you will need them). There are not many resorts that I would like to return to; this is one I would. Wish I was still there.
