The Blue Door house was superb for us. Though it's small, it's laid out superbly. There's a large gathering room with room for 10 or more people, a wonderful TV, surround sound system, WiFi, large and casual dining table and up to date appliances. The gathering room with large sliding doors opening to the patio with a fire pit is a superb place to relax, watch TV, crash post-ride and have a meal with 2 or 10 of your closest friends. The way the patio and fire pit blend in via the large sliding doors is really a nice setup.
The bedrooms are masterpieces of space efficiency. Each compact bedroom has four beds with their own private (via curtains) bunk that has power, lighting, a shelf and more and each bed has its own storage nook. Each room has shelves for storage, a mirror and long bench for bags. There are two of these well designed rooms each with an adjacent bathroom. Fortunately the owner installed a high-volume tankless hot water heater to manage the needs of up to 10 or 12 guests.
As a bouns, there's a secure side patio that includes a bike rack, bike work stand and wash station plus hooks to hang all your biking or hiking gear. The owner sincerely asked me how he could improve things for guests and I struggled to find anything. The only potential negative to the property is that there's a hotel in front, partially blocking the view from the property, but it also blocks the noise from the highway because the property couldn't be better located--very near town, amenities and within a short ride of multiple trail heads.
My group will be back and I highly recommend your considering this property for Sedona area stays. If you are a mountain biker, then this may be the best possible property!
