My husband booked us originally at the Thunderbird motel down the street and when we arrived there it looked like a crack motel so we backtracked to the Days Inn. The night clerk was helpful and polite, gave us the two rooms requested. we were not offered any special rate or discount even though we are Days Inn premium club memebers.The rooms were adequate, could have been more up to date and a tad cleaner ie; smelled better. The refrigerator worked did not use the microwave.The pool looked clean but when two of our party went to use it there people drinking and getting rowdy poolside so they decided not to go in. The breakfast buffet is a joke. The waiter treated us like the red-headed step child at a family reunion as soon as he saw our breakfast vouchers and reminded us that the vouchers did not include his tip. (Which by the way he didn't come close to earning, no beverage refills etc.) We might stay here again if it were a little cleaner and the price were better. I'm told for a few dollars more there are really nice motels in Showlow close by.

They booked us into a smoking room when we specifically asked for a non-smoking room.

Internet service lousy on 4 devices (2 iPhones, Mac Pro and mini-iPad).

No TV. Called the desk and when they arrived at the room, they found the cable hanging against the wall...not connected.

Not much effort put into service here. Cannot recommend. You get what you pay for.

Thank you for writing a review for your stay at our motel. We want to make everyone's stay as pleasant as possible.
We changed the room you stayed in, from a smoking room to a non smoking room early this summer. The day you checked in, we had just put in new carpet. Everything was cleaned...the drapes and linens, bedspread, pillows and pillowcases and walls scrubbed. We're sorry that the smoking smell was still there.
Our internet has been struggling this summer with the monsoon rains... we have an order in to upgrade the technology from wireless (B and G) technology to (N) technology, which will be upgraded September 18th. It will perform at much greater transfer rates than our current system.
The cable was unplugged in your room, because the carpet man, who had just replaced the carpet forgot to plug it back in. I personally came to your room and hooked it back up for you within ten minutes after I received the call.
We're sorry for any inconvenience this caused you and we want you to know that we do care about our customer service. We strive to treat each one of them like family.

We stayed here because the well-rated Best Western on TripAdvisor didn't have the right room left for us and we did not like the very unhelpful receptionist.
The staff here was very helpful. We got a large, clean room with a king-size bed on the second floor in the very back. The fridge worked well, the microwave was not and could not be plugged in in its location, fortunately we always carry an extension cord.
The pool is only 3-3 1/2 ' deep, but at least there is one! and it's good enough to cool off in.
There is a 10% discount with the room card at the on-site restaurant, which was convenient and good enough. The hotel provides also a $5 value breakfast coupon per guest, which provided for a decent breakfast.
The place was pretty full the night we stayed and there were a lot of pick-up trucks.We kept the fan running all night and slept well.
This place could definitely use a coat of paint on all its building.
I thought the $74 AARP rate was a little on the high side.

Room Tip: Definitely stay in the very back and top floor

Thanks for taking the time to write a review for our motel. We want to make everyone's stay as pleasant as possible.
We will have our maintenance check the room plugs and see why there was not a place to plug the microwave in, since it should have been plugged in for you, ready for use.
We are presently picking colors for a new paint job on our exterior buildings. The next time you come to Show Low, it should be looking great.
We designed our pool to be a 5 jacuzzis/pool, therefore the 3 1/2 deep.
We're glad you slept well.
