On the outskirts of Snowflake is a delightful Italian restaurant, where the proprieter
takes great pride in each plate. Enzo's decor is minimal, but the homemade food is divine. Warm, crusty garlic sticks were devoured. Our minestrone soup was heavenly. The fragrant rich broth was filled with traditional pasta, beans & vegetables. Not a drop was left in the bowl.
Companions 'Pollo Al Pesto,' featured penne pasta & chicken tenders in a creamy pesto sauce. Topped with grated cheeses, this dish was highly enjoyable. My 'Manicotti,' stuffed with several Italian cheeses was lucious. A scant bit of housemade marinara was drizzled throughout. Next time, I might order a side of marinara.
Vegetarian lasagna is laced with sauteed mushrooms & fresh spinach, between al dente' pasta and several cheeses. (A meat variety is also offered.)
Meals are literally prepared to order, so be prepared to wait. This small (10 table) establishment, allows patrons to BYOB with no corkage fee. Service is lacking, but food of this quality, easily makes up for it Good company paired with proper planning (a nice red wine) help the time pass easily. Desert is limited to spumoni, so we took a pass.
We will be back soon to try more entree's. I'm hungry already.
