Beautiful course with mature players. Give it a try, you won't be sorry. In Sun City Grand adult community with restaurants.

The Sun City Grand courses are the best in the West Valley. Lots of grass, wide fairways, huge greens, and a well funded maintenance program to keep them that way. The GF course is the best of the lot. Played after the recent heavy rains and we were relegated to the cart path which I actually enjoy because it gives me some exercise. It's a good value, too.

We live in Sun City Grand and play the 4 courses built there by Dell Webb as part of a marvelous retirement community. Two of our favorites are Granite Falls North and Granite Falls South. Both are meticulously maintained. While the holes are bordered by homes, the houses are far enough off the course so as not to detract from the open feeling you will get on the course. Both present an ample challenge of golf regardless of one's handicap. They are playable, beautiful, and fun courses that will not make golfers wonder why they even tried. Residents get a discounted greens fee but even the guest/or non resident fees are reasonable by today's standards. Water comes into play more than one might imagine on a desert course. The fairways are generous, the greens are large (two or three clubs difference from front to back) and undulating. The palm trees that lend to the beauty of the course are not going to interfere with shots that are well placed. But, hit the ball off line and be prepared to lose it in a water hole, find it behind a cactus or lose it in some long tough rough that surrounds some of the greens. Call the course for tee times or questions. There is a single pro shop manages both the North and South courses. The staff at Granite Falls are friendly and most willing to help.

Granite Falls Golf Course is located in the far Northwest Valley of the Phoenix area in the community of Sun City Grand in the city of Surprise.
In fact, there are really two courses, the North and the South. They are beautiful courses with stunning views of the White Tank Mountains. I like the South course the best, but my brother-in-law, who is a much better player than I am likes the North course the best.

Granite Falls has 2 18 hole courses and is located in Sun City Grand. There are also 2 other 18 hole courses within the community. I disclaimer: I am a resident of the community and play these courses year round. However, I also play many other West Valley courses regularly, so I think I can give a fair review. These are two really good layouts that are in great shape most of the year. Like most other area courses, Granite Falls closes for about 3 weeks in the Fall for overseeding and there is a period of about a month in late June and July when the courses are transitioning from winter to summer grass. This is not the best time to play here since there a lot of bare spots and the greens are being aerated. The rest of the year is great. The public is always welcome, although tee times are hard to come by during Spring Training Season. Surprisingly, it is easier to get tee times on the weekends. If you are here in the summer, the rates are a steal. Also, after 3 PM kids play free with a paid adult.
