We stayed from Aug 4th to Aug 9th. Was down there for a funeral and when I called to get rates, Molly was super about giving us the lowest rate they could. We paid about $65 a night for a room with a (very) comfy King size bed and a comfy pull-out for our daughter's. The rooms are very good size and we loved having a seperate bedroom with our own TV's so we could watch adult stuff and the girls could watch their stuff.
The rooms are very clean. I can't complain one bit about anything. They smelled nice and looked nice. We were on the ground floor and had a nice patio (room 101). You would think being so close to the lobby we would have a lot of noise but we never heard a thing and slep like babies.
My wife and I would use the pool ( the girl who cleaned the pool became our friend...she is wonderful...give her a raise Mr. Manager) every morning at 7am when it opened up (note to management: in summer, I would change adult time to 6am to 9am) and would swim laps for about an hour and then dry off and go in for breakfast at their free breakfast bar. Home-made waffles (which needed strawberries and whip cream), bagels, pastries, cereals, oatmeal, toast, muffins and lots of fruit as well as great coffee. Oh, almost forgot, one feature my wife and I loved was the coffee/tea bar down the hall from our room. Piping hot coffee 24 hours a day.
It seems like an odd location when you drive up but it's incredibly perfect. Walking distance to almost everything. Oh, and don't forget free hot cookies in lobbyafter 4pm every day and free morning paper delivered to your door.
Last but not least, Birdie, the front desk clerk. Every hotel should have a person like you at their front desk. You represented that hotel perfectly and they should reward you for that. We weren't just guests staying at your work, you made us feel like family staying in your home. Thank you for that.
