“EZ in out place to stay--QUIET”
Reviewed 7 November 2011

Check in went smoothly in and to room under 15 min. Cameron welcoming, answered all questions, great sense of humor directions for parking and to room good. Amenities ltd, which was fine. Non smoking room was located where requested at time of reservation. If cutting costs want a clean comfy quiet place to stay--stay here. As there are no extras if that is a priority, clean yes, some pebbles + in the bathroom area a redo for vacuuming. Water in shower great pressure, bed clean and comfortable and very very quiet! We checked out before 10 am and only heard one plane, no noise in the halls. Exit with Angelica was smooth, friendly in and out under 5 min. We got what we paid for and reserved!

Room Tip: Third floor away from the elevator and ice machine, mid way down the hall, King Deluxe

After a 1,450-mile road trip throughout the greater part of Arizona, my travel partner and I found ourselves weary and cranky from the unrelenting heat of Phoenix, compliments of a stifling Indian summer. Our spirits were greatly lifted by the bubbly (and competent) desk clerk at Tempe's Red Roof Inn. We noted that the room was unusually spacious, the bathroom sparkling clean. Most importantly, we were giddy to find beds that were far more comfortable than the ones we'd slept on elsewhere in the state. Free WiFi for internet access is acceptable for emailing, Facebooking, and flight checkin- but don't expect to stream a movie on Netflix. Dining and nightlife options aren't readily available in the hotel's district, but there are plenty of restaurants and bars a mere $5 taxi ride away. At first we were disappointed at how far away this self-described 'airport hotel' was from Sky Harbor, but then realized that we received a great night's sleep due to very little noise from the airline jets.

Room Tip: Great rates at hotels.com!

After TOO much time staying with the family in Surprise, we decided to get a room the last couple nights near the PHX airport. Last minute decision, but a very nice place. No frills, stayed in a Superior King room with nice work station, comfortable bed, big TV. Smells clean, basic, but great value on hotels.com running a 20% special which Red Roof could not even match. Can't understand that deal. Only thing is it is in a corporate park and not much around if you don't have a car. We are going next door to the Sheraton to get some food and drink at Fire+Spice. Friendly staff, would definitely stay here again !! Thanks Dan (3rd shift desk clerk)

We just got back from our stay at the Red Roof and it was perfect. We flew in overnight to see the NY Giants game and this hotel was just right. It was close enough to the airport in a good area and the front desk was very helpful with local eateries and directions. The hotel was very clean and extremely quiet, we got a really great night's sleep before we headed back home. The room was pretty basic but we weren't looking for luxury during this stay and the most important thing, the room was clean. When the Giants play in AZ again we will definitely come back to this hotel.

After a long flight from east coast, the Red Roof Inn saved the day. Arriving after midnight, we were greeted with a quick check-in and an extremely friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean and perfect for a one night stay...large and well-kept. Plenty of free parking and complimentary coffee in the lobby. They also have a pool which looked like heaven in the desert heat. The facilities looked perfectly maintained. Very good for an airport hotel.

This Red Roof is a gem. I don’t know if it’s a corporate-owned hotel or a franchise but in any event the owner must be doing right by his or her employees as they have been – to me, anyway – uniformly friendly, courteous, polite and helpful. Also, I’ve always found the hotel and rooms very, very clean and well-kept. (I’ve stayed at this Red Roof on-and-off for nearly 10 years now.) Red Roof locations can be inconsistent, ranging from “horrible” to “excellent!” -- this one falls into the latter. The rooms have been refreshed with new carpet, floor coverings, paint, mattresses, linens and flat-screen TV. Lighting is good, particularly in the bathroom, which is typically a lighting weak spot. I found plenty of electrical outlets to recharge electronics, some of which weren’t in the best location but most of which were easy to get to. Red Roof did away with their silly free “breakfast” but they continue, at this location anyway, to offer coffee and tea 24/7 in the lobby. (There’s coffee in the rooms, too.) There is a computer in the lobby where you can print boarding passes if need be – nice touch. They tout it as an “airport” location but there is no shuttle -- this being Phoenix one really needs to have a car. I’ve found the location safe and quiet despite the proximity to I-10. And for what you get the prices can’t be beat – I’ve paid more elsewhere near PHX Sky Harbor and received a lot less in return. I’ll admit I’m a bit of a snob when it comes to budget or economy hotels but I keep coming back to this Red Roof because I find nice people and a clean, quality room for a really good price.

Room Tip: The east side will be quieter than west side next to or above the pool. Parking under a tree will in...

My most recent stay at this property was in August, 2011. As with my previous 3 stays, I found everything about the Red Roof Inn - Phoenix Airport to be excellent.

The landscaping and "curb appeal" are always very inviting. The grounds are quite attractive and very well manicured and the building well maintained. It was nice to be greeted by a friendly guest services person, who obviously wanted to ensure we would have a pleasant stay. It seems that most of the staff we encountered during our visit, had been there for some time and have always been very accommodating and attentive to our needs. The guest room which we occupied, was attractively furnished and had all the amenities one would expect; I thoroughly enjoyed the large, comfortable work area for my laptop, and appreciated easy internet access!

For what is considered to be a "budget hotel," I've found the Red Roof Inn - Phoenix Airport to be as nice as any mid-scale property. For a pleasant, affordable and enjoyable stay, I would highly recommend the Red Roof Inn - Phoenix Airport. We will be back!
