“A Little Warm & Buggy”
Reviewed 25 June 2013

This was our second visit to this motel within an 8 month span. My wife and I stayed here in October 2012 and stayed again in May of 2013. However, on this last visit, our daughter and her boyfriend joined us and they had a room as well. Our first stay in October was VERY NICE. Even though the premises and room furnishings were a little dated, it was a clean room and the price was right. We were a little disappointed on our most recent stay in May as both rooms would never cool down to a comfortable temperature because the air conditioners at this motel are all wall/window type units which in my opinion are too small for the size of room it is trying to cool. It was a little warm in Tombstone that day ( 92 F. ) but close to seasonal temps for May. Also, both rooms had roaches in the bath tubs that come up from through the drain. My wife and daughter were a little freaked out but survived the stay. On the plus side, the motel is located in close proximity to all of the Tombstone sights and is all within walking distance which is a nice benefit. It has a VERY NICE pool and grounds. The staff is VERY nice and very accommodating. They do offer a small continental breakfast each morning, but very basic stuff, We opted to walk into town to a restaurant to have a regular meal. Because of the air conditioning problems, I think we will only stay at this motel during the cooler months of the year i.e. October-April.

Room Tip: Try to stay during cooler months as the a/c in the rooms are not adequate on warmer days. The larges...

We needed a early check in and our room was ready so no problem the staff very kind. This hotel was in walking distance of historic Tombstone. The airconditioner in our room did not work well (cooler outside than in) the rooms were dated. They had a pool that was clean. If the airconditioning was better and the rooms a little more updated I would stay there againg just because of the walking distance. Breakfast was coffee and doughnuts.

I love Tombstone and this is the place to stay. Beautifully maintained grounds! Wonderful pool area to beat the heat during the day and hot tub to enjoy during cooler evenings! All rooms are immaculate but the BUNKHOUSE is amazing. Cat

An unexpected detour found us in Tombstone AZ. Locals there recommended Trail Rider's Inn (Booger Bob, or maybe it was Sundance Smith...,) and what a gem Trail Rider’s Inn turned out to be. The rooms are rustic and inviting, the staff is friendly and accommodating. A continental breakfast is included, and we enjoyed it. Room rates are more than reasonable, the pool was perfect. Best of all Allen Street, where you can find most of the action is within walking distance. I told Paul, the owner that Trail Rider’s Inn is our #1 choice whenever we get the chance to return. Just remember that this is Tombstone, the OLD WEST, and we felt the effect of it at Trail Rider’s Inn… :) Thanks Paul for a great experience!

We spent two nights in Tombstone AZ in March. Tombstone is a fun place with lots going on and lots of atmospheric bars. We stayed at Trail Riders Inn and loved it. Paul the owner is friendly and helpful and the motel is in a perfect location for the town yet off the main road. The weather was very hot when we were there and the pool was a welcome relief from the heat. Lovely clean room and comfortable bed and great value for money.

I had planned to stay for 2 nights, but stayed 6. The rooms are clean and comfortable with all the necessities. Breakfast is basic, but ample.

Location is good and the owner is friendly and helpful.

It has the core facilities like washing machines/dryers and a pool.

This motel doesn't position itself in the market as a 5 star resort. it is simple but effective accommodation at a good price.
