The house itself is nice enough and the ocean/coastline view very pleasing.
Signage of some sort would help with night arrivals.
The wifi worked in the main house great room and adjacent deck, but as far away as the adjacent master bedroom, no signal.
Suffice it to say that the guest cottage had none.
Rooms smelled musty upon arrival.
Many sets of steps in and around the main house - to bath, to master, to its bath, to 2nd bedroom. Toddlers, those who are a bit unsteady, and sleepwalkers
The pool had some recent repairs made which will leave black residue on whatever touches said repairs. Don't wear your white bathing suits!
Would be super if a dedicated recycling can existed - something with the triangle symbol painted on it... The nearby recycling center belongs to the hotel -
not the house.
Hairdryer listed in rental description, but none was found.
Only 5 of the 6 chairs at the dining table. #6 arrived at checkout.
Housekeeping staff would just show up - no announcement or greeting, just suddenly in the house.
A family of 6 adults, someone was always missing either a washcloth, pllowcases, or both.
One day, we needed to use the laundry, but had to finish the housekeeper's chores as both the dryer and the washer were full.
What will really stay with me though, is the way checkout day went.
House Rules: Check-in: 3:00 PM / Check-out: 11:00 AM
The pool and grounds keeping staff, painter, 2 housekeepers, and the concierge descended at 8 a.m.
The owner was scheduled to make a visit that day, and new guests were due at 2:30 p.m.
If checkout is not at 11, please don't advertise 11, otherwise, that space belongs to the guests until 11.
Could recommend for smaller groups without small children who don't mind unannounced and unknown people in their space and who anticipate checkout at 8a.m.
