We visited Costa Ric for 3 weeks. We arrived a day early from our reservation. Michael the owner was at the front desk and another staff member, when they smiled and greeted us. We knew this was going to be a great experience!

We asked them a million questions and were always will to take the time and give us the information.

The room and washroom were very clean. Our experience was fantastic.

Some people complained about a smell but living in the country and having a septic I didn't notice anything!

The restaurant was unbelievable! We ate here almost every day! The tapas very good!

I would always look forward to getting up in the morning for the breakfast! I just loved the "pancakes" the best!

Very close to the beach!

I am looking forward to our returning next year in January. Thanks for everything Micheal!!

See you and Vivianne next year!

We stayed at this hotel for a week at the tail end of a 2 month excursion around central America, so we have quite a few comparables in the same price range.

The owner, Michael was incredibly friendly and helpful and treated us like visiting family. The on site restaurant had two big pluses - one was it was a local gathering place where we met many travelers and locals who embraced us and made our trip far more interesting - and two was it was hands down the best restaurant in town (tapas).

The hotel is in great shape and in a great location, right across the road from the beach.

I would highly recommend this place for friendliness, location and most of all, best bang for your traveling buck.

My boyfriend & I just got back from our stay at Hotel Domilocos for 5 nights and we had a fabulous time. Michael is very friendly & helpful, and gives great information about the area. He set us up with a driver to and from the hotel from the airport in San Jose (be prepared for about a 3 1/2 hour ride, but it's very scenic) for a reasonable rate, so we had no problems getting there. The location was perfect for our trip (several yards from the beach and close to some very good restaurants), the hotel itself was beautiful, the rooms were very clean with AC and hot water, and the restaurant Con Fusione had great service (food was just so-so for us, so we just went elsewhere for most of our meals). We didn't try the swimming pool/jacuzzi so I can't offer an opinion on that. The only issue I can think of was that there seemed to be some construction going on in the mornings (though not too early), but our room was on the first floor so it wasn't too disruptive to us. The bed in our room was also very creaky. It did get a little noisy at times outside of our room at odd hours of the day (we were woken up by children yelling outside our room each and every day at about 6:30am), but I don't blame the hotel for that, it was simply other guests. Our room (7) just happened to be in the center of it all, so if you want to be away from where the action/majority of the noise is at this hotel, I simply suggest a different room. Even with that slight disturbance, this was an awesome hotel for a great value with a very friendly and welcoming staff. We definitely plan on returning someday.

My wife and I just got back from a week in Costa Rica and we stayed at Domilocos for 3 nights. It was very easy to set up the reservation via email with quick replies from the owner, Michael. We arrived about 8:30pm on the 1st night and were welcomed by Michael. After a long day of travel, Michael got us all set up in our room, breakfast tickets, and internet code. We dropped things off in the room and walked about 15 steps to the restaurant and order some Imperial beer and some food.

The simple buffet breakfast is included and there was a nice spread of coffee, juices, fruits, toast, scrabbled eggs and pancakes. It is located on the South end of Dominical about a 5 minute walk to the center. It is about 50 meters to a beautiful beach and good surf.
We ate at the restaurant at Domilocos a few times and the food was fantastic and atmosphere was relaxing. We drove a car to Dominical and it felt very safe to park it at Domilocos because of the overnight security guard. Air conditioning was a nice bonus.

I strongly recommend this place for your stay in Dominical!!!

Room Tip: We stayed on the bottom floor near the restaurant and were very satisfied.

We found this hotel to be very lovely. The staff and owner Mike were very friendly, helpful, and willing to accomadate. We stayed for 2 nights. We enjoyed the quiet sunset evenings, a short walk to the little village.
The restaurant seved a good breakfast. The suppers were to die for. The food was very good and a very resonable price. The staff helpful and friendly.
The receptionist was very helpfull when we were trying to book the whale watching tour. She booked it for us at no charge. After we checked out they on adivce of Mike kept our luggage until we returned from our tour.
For quiet nights, and the price this was a very good hotel. I would return.
