My girlfriend and I arranged a 2-day trip with Steven at the Sirena and San Pedrillo stations in Corcovado National Park. We were both incredibly impressed with Steven’s knowledge of wildlife and nature, whether it was birds, mammals, insects, flowers, or plants. He had a remarkable ability to spot animals from a distance, and was able to find something fascinating with every step through the jungle. My girlfriend and I will never forget swimming below a waterfall while watching spider monkeys hanging in the rainforest canopy above us. Most importantly, Steven is an incredibly friendly and warm-hearted person, and we could not have been happier to spend two days with him. He answered our endless questions and made sure we were always discovering something new. We could not have asked for more in a guide, and would recommend him to everyone! Thanks again for everything!

Steven is a great guide ! So much knowledge, really impressive . He guided us in Sirena station, and the next day we took him as a guide to San Pedrillo station. He came to meet us in our hotel, the day before the tour to get familiar with us and also brought us boots for the tour. Highly recomended

Wonderful tour with Stephen.
A passionate and exciting guide. We have learned a lot and seen so many beautiful places and animals.
The night tour in Bahia Drake was also perfect.
An unforgettable stay.

Steven is a incredible guide who catered our guides to exactly what we wanted. We did Cano island, Sirena and Bird watching and he was extremely knowledgeable and personable in all of them. Not only was he able to find us numerous mammals, birds, fauna and insects he has lots of inside into all of them. Definetly recommend!

We had such a great time with the 2 days trip at La Sirena Station. Steven showed us around, had a great eye and we say not less then 6 (!) Tapirs.

He was a great guide and had an answer to everything. I wouldn't hesitate to go with him again!

I consider myself very lucky to have had the opportunity to do two excursions with Steven. He is such a nice person and in every way a perfect guide, with so much knowledge about both flora and fauna, and always a happy smile on his face. He is extremely helpful and has an uncanny ability to spot even the most hidden creatures in nature. I highly recommend doing a tour with him as your guide, you will not be disappointed!

We went on a tour for two days with Steven in the corcovado area and had an amazing time. Steven showed us all there is to see on various hikes. It's quite amazing how he spots all the wildlife, insects and vegetation. One example, he spotted a tiny 'jesus christ' lizard close to a river and, by carefully approaching, made him (or her?) actually walk on water.

Without a guide we would've walked around like headless chickens and missed most of everything there is to see.

We would really recommend steven: he's very knowledgeable, creates a very relaxed vibe and last but not least his wife made great food

My recent trip to Corcovado/Drake Bay was once in a lifetime, and I have Steven and Deyanira to thank. My main intent, like many other people visiting Corcovado, was to soak in the scenery and hopefully see as much wildlife as possible. Within the first hour we saw wild pigs, monkeys, and a tapir! The tapir was definitely a highlight of the day, and we were the only group in sight when we were near the animal. Steven knew that seeing a tapir was a main goal of mine, and he made it happen with ease. He definitely knows what he's doing when it comes to spotting animals and clearly knows his way around the park. Steven and Deyanira speak good English, are extremely knowledgeable, and have great energy!!

On our recent trip to the Osa Peninsula, Steven and Deyanira from Utopia Drake Outdoors took us on a tour through Corcovado National Park. While we love all animals, we went specifically looking to see a tapir ... which is tough given tapirs are nocturnal and typically sleeping during the day. But Steven and Deyanira did not disappoint. Within 30 minutes of arriving to Corcovado, Steven found a tapir eating on the beach, giving us the rare chance to see this nocturnal animal eating and playing in the ocean before heading back for a nap. Our small, private group was completely alone with the tapir for over an hour; it was a once in a lifetime experience! Following the tapir, we saw monkeys, crocodiles, toucans and a ton of other wildlife.

Utopia Drake Outdoors is the perfect choice for a tour in Corcovado/ Drake Bay. Steven and Deyanira are personable, attentive, well spoken in English (and, of course, Spanish), and an absolute joy to spend time with! You will definitely not be disappointed!
