“This replica of the Navajo Nation's Winter Olympic exhibit is worth a visit.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 August 2013

We were told about this exhibit by a member of the Navajo Nation's Tribal Council, and wish we could have spent more time here. Do stay for the 10-minute movie , which portrays the foundation of the Navajo nation's religious tradition. I was surprised by how many parallels there are with the Old Testament- quarrels and floods especially! Worth the admission price.

“Small and beautiful”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 July 2013

This place was cool. It is weird that on one side of town they run an hour different to the other side of town - so watch your timing if you plan to visit early or late - you could miss it altogether which would be a shame because this place is a little gem with more interesting information than you'd ever imagine for its size.

“Great place to start your trip to Navajo Country”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 July 2013

This is a wonderful place to start a trip to any Navajo destination. The museum is packed with info, and has lots of stuff for kids and adults. I knew nothing about this culture, and I was really glad we made a stop here so that I could understand the importance of what we saw later as we drove to Canyon De Chelly and other places.

You can do the whole museum in as little as a half hour, but there is actually enough here for an entire afternoon.

The only thing that was a bit tough was we had our own packed lunches and no place to eat them... outside there was no shady area and there wasn't any space inside were we could sit and eat. But that is pretty minor and I only write it as a way to say you might want to choose to buy lunch somewhere in Tube City AFTER you go to this museum.

“Interesting little museum”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 July 2013

This was a spontaneous stop on our way through Tuba City. Very interesting and lots of hands on learning for the kids. Also, a very interesting video on Navajo creation myths and a good section on the WWII code talkers.

“Worth visiting”

A well laid out, pretty museum with a nice video on Navajo creation story, and all the horrors of the atrocities against the Indians well explained. Guides were very nice and helpful.
