“So friendly and relaxing”

We have just spent a wonderful week here. Soula is so welcoming and Nicki is a great cook. We echo all the praise that others have said on these pages. We also found the beds a bit hard but when we mentioned this to Soula she immediately offered us a mattress topper which totally solved the problem. We slept extremely well, you certainly get peace and quiet!

Room Tip: All the first floor rooms have lovely views. I expect the ground floor rooms are handier for the poo...

This place ticked all my boxes and we had a wonderful stay whilst celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary! The hotel is off the beaten track which I love but Paphos, the Troodos and the north west coast of Cyprus are all accessible after a short drive - so you get the best of both worlds. It is so quiet, peaceful and tranquil - the only noise came from the gentle breeze through the pine trees - that's Paradise! The views of the mountains and down to the sea are stunning - especially delightful viewed from our bed and balcony. The rooms are traditional, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The family hospitality was second to none - attentive, friendly but not intrusive. We chose the half board option so we could fall into bed after dinner and we are so pleased we did, the food is excellent. Homely Cypriot fare and served hot - not always a priority for Greek food I find! If I had one very tiny comment it would be "chips with everything" but as we visited out of season and with very few other residents, I am perfectly happy to accept what were, after all, excellent chips! I loved the stifado! With its lovely informal, unpretentious atmosphere, it is the perfect place to relax - Paradisos Hills definitely lives up to its name!

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view out to sea!

Just spent a few days here in March with Nicki and Soula. Idyllic location, excellent food and a lovely family who run the hotel. So relaxing and peaceful and did we mention the views? A piece of paradise! Thank you for looking after us so well, from Anne and Andrew.

I was really fascinated with the view around. The hotel is located in the heart of green mountains with the sea view somewhere there. From every corner you look you get astonished. The hotel is run by two sisters (Soula and Nicki) and those ladies really make you feel at home. The food is home made with love by Nicki and you feel it! Soula is always around to predict your wishes and implement them on the spot! The fun is they are never annoying! The style of the hotel is traditional stone made, which gives extra warmth to your body, eyes and soul. Hope to come back again to this magic place!

Room Tip: You can choose the room viewing mountains only or mountains and the sea.

Chose this hotel based on the reviews on tripadvisor and was not disappointed.
Arriving on December 23rd we found Nicki sitting in the dining area preparing food for the Christmas Eve buffet. We were the only guests at the hotel that night. Nothing was to much trouble for her..anything we needed for the room we got and we could eat dinner whenever we liked.
This place as mentioned by so many others is on the outskirts of the pretty little village of Lysos.
The first reason to stay here is the view. As soon as you step out of the car you are struck by how peaceful it is and how fresh the air is. We had a room on the 1st floor looking through the trees and down to the sea in the distance...so beautiful.
The second reason is the home-cooked food. We stayed for 4 nights. On the 24th and 25th the hotel were catering for mostly expats looking for traditional Christmas fare and so a buffet was laid on at this time. The quality and quantity of food was exceptional...but the truly special food came on the other two nights we stayed. We were asked which traditional Cypriot foods we wanted to try - moussaka, lamb, chicken and wonderful soups and desserts...and the freshly squeezed orange juice was some of the best I have had in all my years of travel.

The rooms are simply furnished in a rustic style. Sheets etc. are changed every four days according to the literature but if you ask for fresh towels you can get them. There are just 1 or 2 English channels offered on the TV and the Cypriot plumbing system leads to the request not to flush the paper down the toilet. Also there is only free Wi-fi available in the dining area at present..but these slight negatives for some are outweighed by the above-mentioned positives..as well as the fact that they have a beautiful outdoor pool for the warmer months of the year.

All in all if you are looking to get away from the over-development of the coastal areas and want a few days of peace and quiet enjoying the views and the fresh air then this is an option for you.
You need to stay on half or full board as there were just a few other places to eat or drink in the village as far as we could make out (but as others have mentioned you won't want to miss out on the wonderful food offered here anyway) and you definitely need a car to stay here but the route as suggested by the hotel is easy to follow and as long as you don't mind the twists and turns you can get there in about 40 minutes from Paphos.
Also if you turn left out of the hotel and just keep going you can find an alternative route into the Troodos mountains and to the impressive Kykkos Monastery.

We would definitely stay again to enjoy the peace and tranquility, the pool and the traditional cypriot home-cooked food!
Thank you Nicki and Soulla.

p.s. The hotel is closed until the beginning of March 2014.

Room Tip: Go for a sea-facing room. The ground floor rooms go straight out onto the garden if that is what you...
