We did not get the buffet..We ordered from the menu. We both had The Sirloin Steak. Ordered it med rare, was med. to well done when we got it. The corn was soggy, onion rings hard or soggy. Service was not great. Was over priced for the meal we got.

We ate there for dinner and it was horrible. The waiter recommended the buffet, but after taking a peek at what was being served, we decided to skip the salad from a bag and instant mash potatoes and order from the menu. It didn't matter, because the quality was just as poor. I ordered Chicken Picante Over Rice expecting something along the line of what dictionary.com defines picante to be: pi·can·te (p-känt)
adj.
1. Prepared in such a way as to be spicy.
2. Having a sauce typically containing tomatoes, onions, peppers, and vinegar.

Instead, I got chicken that was pounded down to a quarter inch thickness and smothered with cream of mushroom soup, heavy on the mushrooms. This restaurant is located in the Canyon Plaza Resort and the only thing edible in the entire building is the peanut butter and jelly sandwich that I made in my room after leaving the restaurant.

A waitress came by to clear our plates and asked how everything was. I told her terrible and she just stared at me. The perfect punctuation to a horrible dining experience.

There are many, many people who visit the Grand Canyon, and very few good restaurants.

This restaurant is located inside the Quality Inn and accepts coach tours. When we first came in it was not at all busy, and fortunately we had nearly finished before a bus arrived, since that just swamped the buffet line.

The dinner buffet was just under $20 per person, but compared to the high dinner prices we felt we would be better off with the buffet. There was a good selection of salads, although some were a little odd. There were about five different entree selections, including a two beef dishes, two chicken dishes and fish. There was lots of fresh fruit, potatoes, pasta and bread. Everything was hot and the staff kept the pans full and the counters clean.

The service was good and quite friendly, although our waiter did not speak much English.

Compared to some of the other local restaurants, this is probably a good deal, since it is a buffet.
