We are very glad we stayed there. When booking ask to stay in the main building! This is where breakfast, restaraunts, pool, etc. are. It makes it much nicer and easier. Especially if you have younger kids. We had a very nice and clean room. Having the arcade was a nice way to end the day. It entertained our son for awhile before bed. Nice having something inside the hotel to do. So you don't have to leave when you are tired from being outside all day. We would stay there again. Hotel staf was nice. No complaints. Breakfast buffet was nice.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the main building.

Definitely the place to stay when visiting the Grand Canyon. Great property, great staff, location, good breakfast. No reason to stay anywhere else.

Hotel is right outside the Grand Canyon National Park. Our two night stay at Squire was double the cost of our 3 night stay at the JW Marriot in Vegas. The room was dated but of ample size. Beds very comfortable...The carpet had stains. The staff was VG/well intentioned.
The bowling alley appeared nice, but we did not use it. The game room was very dated - old machines (not classics, just old) and the only hockey table and true pinball machine were broken. The breakfast was OK - but it can become very busy...Sometimes buses drop off tours for the lunch buffet...beware the crowds. All that said, there are really slim pickings if you want to be close/convenient to the Grand Canyon...Mediocre-Poor value, but there are only a few lodging choices in Tusayan.

We just returned from a wonderful trip to the Grand Canyon. What a wondrous place-keep your children close!!! This hotel is very conveniently located right outside the park. The staff were friendly and the complimentary breakfast was satisfactory. Our kids enjoyed the arcade and the 3 elk that grazed on the grass outside our hotel room. This is not the Ritz, but considering the other options we were happy staying here. The room was clean with toiletries and the service was always friendly. We plan to come back to explore the canyon further and we will likely return to the Best Western Squire.

Hotel is right outside the Grand Canyon National Park. It was also close to the airport where we took the helicopter ride. The one night stay, however, was a more expensive stay for us than the Palazzo hotel in Vegas. The room was ample size but it was basic. Nothing fancy or impressed about. The carpet had stain spots.
The staff was friendly and nice, but it took 4 requests to get our roll-away bed.
The bowling alley was nice.
The breakfast was decent. At least it was well stocked and had a good selection.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of our hotel. I apologize that it was not up to your standards, however the decor matches that of our surroundings. We are located at the Grand Canyon, and the hotel decor is designed to remind you of this. I apologize that it took a few requests for a roll-away, and only wish this had been brought to the attention of management during your stay. We hope to see you again should you travel our way in the future.

Regards,
Heather Vaughan

Definitely the place to stay when going to the grand canyon. Beautiful hotel, meals were very good, free outstanding breakfast. Parking at the south rim is nuts. We bought our park pass from the concierge and that entitled you to a free shuttle to and from the park. Shuttle stops right in front of the hotel. Takes you to the other shuttles in the park. We walked the paths and took the shuttles to the distant areas. We went early in the am, returned to hotel for afternoon rest and went back at night. Hotel is. Walking distance to restaurants if you want and a couple if pizza places.

Room Tip: Check in is after 4. Great shuttle service

As stated in previous reviews, the location is convenient. We stayed in building 3000, which was in very poor condition. The room size was cramped and small. At $215 a night, it was a high price for a below average hotel. We have stayed in other better hotel chains for half the price. The 1st floor of the building had a bad odor. Only stay here when you have no other choice near the Grand Canyon - the picture on the website is deceptive!

Room Tip: Stay in the main building not building 3000

Dear Guest,

Let me start by thanking you for writing a review regarding your stay at the Best western Premier Grand Canyon Squire Inn. I will have to respectfully disagree with you that our hotel is poorly maintained. The size of the room you stay in depends simply on the type of room you book. The photos on our website captivate our rooms as they are. There is no doctoring of our photos. If you prefer a larger room, I would humbly suggest trying a deluxe room located in the main building on your next stay. Thank you for choosing Best Western.

Regards,

Heather Vaughan
