“Grand Canyon Visit”
Reviewed 5 July 2014

Expensive for a retired couple; but accommodating. Staff was very accommodating. Breakfast is the best I've ever eaten at any hotel venue. We had a room in a single story building, parked in front of our room, nice king size bed, sitting area separate from the bed, and a separate open dressing area with lots of mirrors, and a large screen TV. Although, there is an airport nearby and helicopter (tours) start flying early and continue throughout the day if the weather is nice.

The staff is friendly and the property is clean and well maintained. The breakfast was very good. There is a buss stop on the corner of the property that takes you right into the park and links to the park shuttle system. The cost of the shuttle is included with your park admission price. We spent 2 nights here and were very satisfied.

The staff were very helpful and informative with anything and everything. Breakfast was the best out of the whole trip, we travelled in a group of 8 and there was something for everyone! Supper in the restaurant was delicious, the steak was cooked just right and the mashed potatoes were fabulous. I would defiantly recommend this hotel to anyone else going to the Grand Canyon, it was so close that we got to go have a look almost at sunset and then again the next day! It seemed to be a pretty busy spot so book early if you can otherwise bring lots of patience because you may have to go to two or three other places before you can get a room for the night, the hotel staff are more than helpful with recommendations on comparable places close by.

Stayed for 3 nights

Great location - minutes from Grand Canyon National Park.
Clean
Large Rooms
Fridge and microwave in room
Good on-site amenities, pool, bowling (small additional fee), hot tub etc.
Plenty of parking.
Breakfast included in price
There are 3 restaurants on site - we only got to try one - bar food. The bar food
was the only part of the stay that we were disappointed with - all fried nothing fresh.

We spent 1 night during our honeymoon in June and the experience was really terrible: the check in starts at 4 pm and there is no way to have a room before, even if the check out is at 11 am.....and the "funny" thing is that the housekeeping staff starts knocking at doors at 8 am.

The housekeeping staff is rude: I asked directions for my room to a lady who did not even stop to answer, but kept walking away drinking her coke.
We were woken up at 8 am by the housekeeping: she entered our room as we did not answer after she knocked, just because we were still sleeping and did not hear.

The price is a robbery: 186€ is too much for a decaying room from the 80's, w/o breakfast and with such a bad staff.

The hotel is out of the park entrance, but really close to the airport and the restaurants.
We went there just because there were no alternatives, but we will never return!!!

Stopped here for a couple of days to visit the Grand Canyon during our route 66 tour.

A strange way of checking in - where you are asked to sign your life away for a fee??? You will know what I mean if you have stayed.

The reception staff are busy but kind of attentive if not very knowledgeable.
After reading tripadvisor reviews we decided to upgrade on arrival as we wanted the main block – we are glad we did.
The room was large and clean

Breakfast was included – a buffet that was ok. The restaurant in the main lobby was really good value and we ate there twice, the waitress was wonderful and deserves all the praise put on her ☺ pool area was ok but the pool needs a bit more cleaning.

After a very long day driving to the Grand Canyon, we were very pleased to have made reservations at the BW Grand Canyon Squire Inn! It was recommended by a friend! This hotel is just minutes from the Grand Canyon National Park on the south rim. The rooms were a nice size, clean and comfortable. The food and the service at the hotel was good but not exceptional. A game room and bowling ally for the kids. Perfect for our family trip. The very best part about this property is its location, about 10 minutes away from the National Park. We were able to get up early and catch the sunrise over the canyon. As a bonus, four to five elk came wondering through the parking lot as we were checking in... a unique and exciting welcome.
