An ageing millennial seriously in need of upating. The lobby area is still attractive and the staff is uniformly first rate, but a facility initially built on the cheap is not being maintained. It's sad because the restaurant is quite good and the staff deserves better.

I was very disappointed by this hotel when we arrived. It certainly does not warrant the price.
I will say that the Saloon and restaurant were nice, but other than that, I wasn't a fan of this hotel. I won't be staying here again.

Stayed for 1 night. - wouldn't stay again.
Pros - great location on shuttle bus route to GC Park
Cons - needs major modernisation. Inferior outdated and run down. Cost was expressive for really why can only be described at best as a budget hotel.

We thought this was going to be a really awesome old hotel, with a lot of character and old charm. We found it to be maybe just a step better than a Travel Lodge or something similar. It was clean, there were good amenities (jacuzzi, shampoos and soaps, etc), it had a restaurant (meh - not so bad/not so great, but had fun live music, and a bar with large TV screens - it was Fifa Play-off time).

**This is NOT a 5 star hotel. 4 at best. But it's not a dump either. There were animal heads all over the place (I get the charm, but I just hope they weren't real....but I have a feeling they were). And it was definitely a bustling place. But the staff were friendly and helpful (we had a lot of questions) and there is a shuttle that takes you all up and down the town and into the Grand Canyon National Park. The hotel is only about a mile from the park, but if you don't want to pay the parking fee and deal with parking at the park, the shuttle is nice and it moves pretty fast. Parking does fill up quickly, so it's nice to have an alternative.

it is surrounded by sundry shops, liquor stores, souvenir shops, restaurants and other quaint attractions (a small canyon museum, etc.) We did not find ANY of the restaurants to be all that fantastic. The best meal we had, was at the El Trovar hotel which is located within the park's grounds.

Our room was at the back of the hotel. The view was of a hillside and the hotel parking lot. Although we were not disturbed by cars coming and going. Also the dark window coverings made it possible to sleep with the heat of the sun bearing down on the room. And the A/C worked nicely. The beds were cozy and comfortable, which was nice. We did hear other guests entering and leaving their rooms, as their doors slammed loudly (unintentional - it's just how it is) - that was a bit of an annoyance in the morning when folks were just leaving for the day.

Basically it was a reasonably good stay, but definitely not a luxury stay. With that in mind, I would say this hotel is a bit over priced for what they advertise themselves to be. But a good deal for something on a 4 star level.

Not bad or good - pretty much just middle of the road.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back have a nice hillside view and fewer cars in the parking lot to disturb you.

This is one of the worst hotel experiences that I've had and extremely expensive. The room was okay but for
$350 it should at least be very nice. I'm handicapped and the door to the bathroom opened in the wrong direction so you couldn't get a wheelchair through. I had to ask for a shower bench and then how to clean it before I could use
it. I had to ask for Kleenex. I ordered a hamburger in the restaurant and was told "they were out of hamburger
patties". I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Avoid if you're expecting a luxury hotel while visiting the Grand Canyon (go for El Tovar if you need a recommendation). For a place that charges over $300 per night (on weekdays) do NOT expect ANY 5 star luxuries. This place is VERY basic. Clean room, good air-conditioning, free parking, decent wifi (free) and a nice exterior. There's an indoor pool and very small gym. Nothing fancy at all. Not sure why the cost of this place is so high....

The pictures you see are all accurate but we were certainly expecting a much nicer stay. For example: no one to help you with luggage, no valet parking, no turn-down service at night; no concierge to help book tour, our wake-up calls NEVER happened, no mini-bar, no complimentary breakfast, no bathrobes, no newspapers outside your door in the morning.

Try the Best Western or Holiday Inn Express - you'll save money and be just as close to the grand canyon.

The beds were very good and air condition working fine, but that was it. Very simple and poor decoration. Not a nice place. Service at the bar was ok. Restaurant poor.

The price is too high for what was offered.

Next time will look for other option.
