We stayed the month of January in Glo's Bungalow. While the weather was cool in the evenings, the daytime temps were great for hiking. The Bungalow is very well maintained, decorated beautifully, and cheerfully bright. The kitchen had everything we needed, and Katy and John are the perfect hosts-----always ready to help, yet mindful of guest privacy. My wife and I loved the inquisitive chickens that visited from the neighboring property, the low rumble of the trains going past, and the morning songbirds. The small front porch was a nice place to end the evening with a drink while keeping an eye out for the javelinas. The Bungalow is fine for bird watching. We put out sunflower seeds each morning--wrens, finches, cardinals, and woodpeckers swarmed the feeder. The Bungalow is just a few short miles from Wickenburg, where we located a nice gym, found decent ribeye, and had a great time walking around. The Webb Center for the Performing Arts is fantastic. During our month stay we attended four performances, including Swan Lake by the Moscow Ballet. Another great find was the River Preserve. Although you can access it from the Bungalow property, we most often drove the mile down the road to the main entrance of the Preserve where maintained trails, benches, and interpretive center are located. A year's membership was about 25 bucks and allows the pass holder and one guest unlimited access--a very good deal. Glo's Bungalow was a great find!
