If you are looking for a real dude ranch experience, you'll find it at the Flying E Ranch. It's got it all: historic rooms, stupendous food, fascinating trail rides, and the warm and expert management of Steve and Andrea Taylor. Don't miss the daily Happy Hour in the Saloon, it's the place to get acquainted with your fellow guests and watch the sunset. And when they ring the cowbell to call you to meals, get ready to be wowed. I don't eat beef, so the chef prepared a pork tenderloin for me one evening; and when I couldn't finish the gigantic portion, they put it into an omelette for me next morning. Now that's what I call service. Norm the Cowboy Poet led me on a trail ride that included history, natural history, incredible views and two poems. The rooms are spacious and spotless, the ranch is surrounded by quiet desert, and I saw a coyote on my final morning. I'll be back. And soon.

A 4 night stay at the Flying E was the highlight of a two week trip to Vegas and Arizona. The whole experience was outstanding from beginning to end. This is such a chilled out place. Ande, Steve and all the staff were incredibly hospitable, the food was just great and the accommodation was spotless. The kids had a ball playing ping pong, table football and messing about in the pool. Cowboy poetry with Norm was a treat as was the lunch cookout. The temperature was a perfect 22C. Oh and we all rode a horse for the first time. The scenery was stunning, loved the cactuses and even saw a road runner. Would love to go back and can't recommend it highly enough.

We were a group of 27 celebrating our parents' 50th wedding anniversary which included grand and great-grand children aged 5 months to 17years. We cannot say enough about the outstanding service, attention to detail and help given to us from providing extra entertainment to giving us space to have a special celebration night as well as preparing a special dessert. We all thoroughly enjoyed the horse-riding and breakfast in the desert. There was a lot of activities for the children of all ages to be entertained. The owners were there for us at every turn to help us make this a memorable occasion for our parents.
We would highly recommend this ranch for a family experience and a unique way of celebrating a special event in the seasons of life.

We were pleased to host your family for such a wonderful event. 50 years together! Our staff enjoyed the evening slide show of family and friends who contributed to the celebration. Thank you for choosing the Flying E Dude ranch for this special event.

I originally intended to stay 4 nights, but I was having such a good time, I kept extending my stay. I extended 3 times and ended up staying a full week. I really enjoyed my time at the Flying E Ranch.

The Flying E is an authentic western dude ranch. The ranch is small with a warm and friendly appeal. The main activity is horseback riding, and the ranch has miles of interesting trails. The wranglers all were a pleasure to ride with.

I found the ranch to be very comfortable. The main lodge is richly furnished in a traditional western style. Meals were excellent, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. I particularly enjoyed the beautiful swimming pool with its vistas of desert foothills and of the mountains beyond.

At the Flying E, I met guests who throughout the years have been coming back over and over again. I hope to do the same.

We have recently returned from our 6th visit to the Flying E ranch near Wickenburg, about a one and a half hour drive north west of Phoenix, and can't wait to go again next year. It is the perfect place for riding, relaxing and making new friends.

All levels of riding experience are catered for and lessons are available if required. Set in about 20,000 acres the trails are numerous, varied and picturesque. The wranglers are friendly, knowledgeable and interesting folk; the horses are well trained, well fed and well turned out.

If you don't want to ride then you can relax in the hot tub, swim, play tennis, outdoor chess or shuffle board, or play a round of golf at the nearby golf course. For the energetic there are hiking trails, in particular the trail to the summit of Vulture Peak. For the less energetic relaxing with a book by the pool in the sun is good.

The food is excellent and more or less nonstop! A hearty breakfast, delicious lunch and excellent evening meal are to be looked forward to every day. The coffee pot is always hot and the cookie jar full. Meals are served family style which gives everyone the chance to make new friends or catch up with previous acquaintances. The cooks and servers are friendly, courteous and attentive to individual requirements.

The Flying E is one of the smaller dude ranches taking a maximum of about 35 guests, everyone is an individual, not a room number. Ande, Steve and all the staff make you so very welcome. Accommodation is very comfortable in spotlessly clean rooms; in fact the whole establishment is extremely clean, well maintained and managed.

In a nut shell - wonderful holiday, fantastic staff, great horses and rides, spotless throughout with a good atmosphere, the ideal place to ride or relax whether you are on your own, with family or friends.

We stayed here over Christmas and it couldn't have been better. Three good rides out into the desert and great company (staff and guests). The food was wonderful.

This was our third holiday on a guest ranch and the Flying E was the best so far. The horses were perfect for us and the wranglers were wonderful; be sure to ask Norm to tell you a cowboy poem or two! Ande and Steve are brilliant hosts who take care over every detail to make sure that your stay is perfect.

The cabin (we stayed in number 0) was clean and had great views of the horses and the desert. The food was also of a very high standard and varied, we stayed 8 days and no meal was the same.

The Arizona desert was a great surprise, full of interest and life. After 10 minutes in the saddle you feel a sense of space and peace as the scenery unfolds before you.

The Flying E Ranch is a very special place and, coming from the UK, we were made to feel a true sense of western hospitality. We were sad to leave and will always remember the great time we had there.
