“Loved our stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 August 2013

I'm so glad we had a 2 night stay at the Red Garter. It's got such a rich history plus the inn itself is so comfortable. Our room was so cozy and the breakfast was perfect; cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, bagels and delicious pastries. Each evening Angie had cookies and hot tea available for us. John, the owner, is such a nice guy and we loved hearing his stories about renovating the inn. Williams is a great place to spend the weekend. The Grand Canyon is only a half hour away and there is so much to see in town, especially for those who love the Route 66 history. We loved it!

A delightful place with homemade scones and a great staff. Everything on Jerome is waking distance. A great day for the train. We loved all their unique and quaint gifts. We loved hearing all the stories of

Our staycation night at the Red Garter Inn was wonderful. John & Angie made us feel so welcome and part of the family. We came from Flagstaff to eat, drink, and walk the streets of Williams. The rooms were actually quite large and cool and the decor was so fun and beautiful. The patio was wonderful to sit and enjoy the breeze. Breakfast was really nice. We had mochas, fruit, yougurt and granola, cinnamon and sticky buns from the bakery counter. There are only 4 rooms but if you can get in, the Red Garter Inn is a definite stop.

Room Tip: All rooms are upstairs. Best Gal's room has a sitting room and faces the front but the train di...

If the walls of this former bordello could talk...the stories we might hear! This is my favorite Bed & Breakfast - ever! The owner, John, and the staff are friendly and fun, the atmosphere is great, and the history of the building, as well as the town, is very intriguing especially to those who are even the slightest bit interested in old west. The character and decor of the property is in beautiful taste and fits the antiquity of yesteryear! Music can be heard throughout the evening although a private balcony is available from certain rooms. The staircase is steep - just as it was when the ladies of the night entertained in days of old!

The Red Garter Inn is a B & B in the original 'ladies of the night' accommodation in Williams, an historic town on route 66. There's only 4 guest rooms; we had Big Bertha's room which was decorated in period style, charming and very comfortable with a good bathroom. The breakfast is a choice from the bakery's cabinet and super yummy. We loved our stay; the accommodation was unique and our friendly host was happy to share stories of the history of the place including the resident ghost.

Cute place in a hokey Americana historic town. The theme is cute but the establishment is a B&B/pastry shop/trinket store. We arrived after day two of the Grand Canyon's mule ride. We were tired and parched but checkin was not until 4:00 so we had to kill time at a local bar/eatery. Then, our room was still being prepared as we continued to kill time by browsing the store for quite some time, after 4:00. When we were escorted up the steep stairs, as we carried our luggage, we noticed a bathroom like smell in the hall. Since Big Bertha's room has no air conditioning, we needed to leave an internal window open to the hall. It did not smell fresh to me our whole stay. The worst was that I heard music until after 1:00 am from outside establishments, when I finally was able to fall asleep. Breakfast was a pastry of our choice, yogurt, fruit and drinks. Personally, I was a little disappointed not to be served a cooked breakfast but it did make it easy to be on our way. ...

Positives: Room appeared clean and fresh, decorum was cute and fitting, and the owner and his staff were friendly and informative

We stayed one night at The Red Garter after spending the day at the Grand Canyon. The staff was very helpful , friendly and accommodating . My husband and I enjoyed hearing about the history of the building from the friendly innkeeper John and his staff Angie and Debbie. The decor was charming and well maintained. The town of Williams is a fun stop on Route 66. If you have a chance visit The Red Garter Inn and the town of Williams, AZ ... A little of the old west revisited....
