Love this ride to the Canyon! Relaxing, scenic and a wonderful way to spend the day. We stayed over night and returned the next day. Cant wait to do it all over again!

“Nice way to get to the Grand Canyon”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 November 2013

We decided to take the train to the Grand Canyon as we had driven many times before and the kids (4 & 6 yo) were excited to ride a train. They have a cowboy show before you get on the train which is corny but it is for the kids, not adults. We rode in the observation dome deck which was on the upper level of the car. They had a continental breakfast (fruit and pastries) with hot chocolate and hot cider. They have alcohol for sale as well.

You have approximately 3 hours at the south rim to do what you please. We had reserved a tour on a bus with 3 stops and included a buffet lunch. It was just enough to get pictures and the lunch was filling.

The ride back they had cheese and crackers with sodas and alcohol for sale. We saw packs of elk both ways on the trip. The train was "held" up and the kids enjoyed the show again.

Nice trip for the family.

“Travel back in time...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 November 2013

I liked seeing the old wagon trails and stage stops that still stand. Fantastic scenery. We had a great rail trip, with our docent of the day; Kathy (with a K). Of course, the Grand Canyon is just something to behold.

“Great family fun”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 November 2013

If you can't take the time for an extended stay at the Grand Canyon this is a great alternative. Williams is a short drive from Flagstaff, where you can find a variety of hotel options. The train depot features vintage railroad equipment, great photo opp for history buffs. Take the upgrade to the dome car for scenic views. Once at the canyon you will have time enough for a brief visit, and more opportunity for pictures of one of the true wonders of the world. The train ride features snacks, entertainment and well-informed guides who will answer any questions.

5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 November 2013

Omg Williams best kept Secret is the RV Park Convience Store, the gals that work there Debbie, Colleen, Ofelia and Brenda are such nice gals fun and you can tell they all love there job and the customer service was so much more personal they have almost everything the other gift shops have but the one thing they don't have is the LINES... I'm telling you this one of the best places to shop it's kinda of sad that no one tells you about this place that works there since they have such great customer service we found it by walking around the property.... I'm know i will be back again and shop only at this place AWESOME JOB LADIES ...
