the welcome set the tone for the rest of our stay.instead of the one night we stayed for two. an easy walk to the heart of the town ,with plenty of places to eat; the town is steeped in route 66
The gas station owner was a delight to meet. his 1950 ford was made the same year i was .
the route 66 cafe was a bit of a rip off . poor service, the bill came before they asked if we wanted desert or another drink and they did the old ADD THE 18% TIP to the bill in advance.
no worries i responded by telling them what i thought of their service and paid the exact amount. tip for good service YES .but not for badMore
