Attraction details
Owner description: Located on a section of old Route 66, the Deer Farm is 10 acres of absolute animal wonderland. Walk a path around our park to view wallabies, llamas, mini cattle, bison, peacocks, & much more. Walk with deer, feed the deer right from your hands. Chat with a parrot, Mozart is a very entertaining cockatoo, Scarlet (a lilac crowned Amazon Parrot) a bit more shy, pet a goat, kiss a camel. You will have a blast here if you are an animal lover.

“Love this farm”

I have been visiting this farm since I was a teenager in the 1990's, and I still love it. You walk among dozens of deer. You can purchase food in the gift shop and they have dispensers in the grounds. One of the staff even filled our cup while we were there. There is elk, reindeer, goats, wallabees, bison, peacocks, and a camel. It's a great maintained farm. The staff is wonderful. Will definitely return in the future.

Wow, what a wonderful review! I'm happy you have been coming for years. I love to hear stories of visitors who came as children, and are now bringing their children...even grandchildren, as the Farm has been here for 45 years now! Thank you!

“FUN PLACE”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 July 2014

Not much to say but if you like to feed deer and see animals in cages... they have a cute gift shop kind big...its kinda $$ over 10 for adults... and like 9 for kids...but its fun to let the kids loose with the deer.... I do recommend to go at least once... we have gone like 3 times now...

Thank you for your review. This IS a FUN place for sure. However, your comment on children being $9.00 is incorrect, child rate is actually $6.75. We have many fun critters to interact with, like our sweet kissing camel, and the crazy cockatoo, Mozart. I hope you come see us again, and if you haven't checked out some of our other fun kids, (beside the deer), then chat with our cockatoo, or love on Stormy, our elk!

“Fun Place!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 June 2014 via mobile

This was quite an experience. These deer are crazy! You think of deer being timid. Not domesticated deer. They are like big dogs that love food and want to be fed. My son had the food and they chased him all over the place. They are beautiful animals and we are glad we stopped.

“Kiss a camel and get up close to animals”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 June 2014

A great time was had by all (including our 10 and 13 year old). From the hysterical talking bird that loves to entertain, to the kissing camel-this was a great stop. We spent a couple hours here on our way to the Grand Canyon (we arrived too late in the day to go to the canyon, so we stopped here for a bit). The staff was friendly and really loved to talk about the animals. The animals were well cared for and loved the attention.
A great side trip to take while out this way.

“A Deer lovers dream !!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 June 2014 via mobile

Family with our granddaughter dropped in to be with the deer. She was a little afraid to feed them but finally fed them out of her hand. I fed them over and over, yes, I'm an animal lover. A dollar off admission if you're a AAA member or over 62. Cups of food to feed the deer cost $3.00 each and $2.00 for refills. Refills look like they'll be cheaper than the .25 cent machines on the grounds that give you some corn to feed them. The deer lick it out of your hand but don't bite. A few times they nudged me from behind so you may get your shirt dirty. They have a beautiful Elk there you can feed too. Other animals make it great too, such as a camel, coati mundi's, reindeer, a cockatoo, peacock, goats etc. Grounds are well maintained and the employees were very friendly. They also have a huge gift shop. Always a memorable experience, my third time there. The kids should love it.
