The owners take great trouble to make this hotel vintage cute. It also had clean sheets and overall the suite where we stayed was clean. We stayed in the back of the hotel, in what they call the coach house.
Yet, for $176, this hotel was awful.
A few things:
- Super cold. The temperature dropped to 40 F at night in October. We were freezing under thing blankets. They had some central air super loud, but set on very low (no controls in the room) that did nothing
- The windows were low and tall with air conditioning units for the summer, letting in the cold
- There was a drafty back door that did not help with keeping out the cold
- In the front room there was an old door, which the owners turned into a shelf; no insulation
COLD from all sides
- The plaster on the walls was crumbling (see pictures) and there was a crack in the wall
- Bathroom was outdated with a flimsy old shower; the room was super cold too!
- The room was also dusty, with inadequate curtains that did not keep out light, dust or cold
- People would walk by at night in the alley and in the parking lot right in the back. It felt like they could kick down the air conditioning units, or the back door any time and walk in. Loud. Weird.
Would not stay here again. Would not recommend.
