I chose to stay here because of the history, it was worth it for that. The hotel is clean, the check in was easy and lay out was easy enough.
After our drive from Vegas and stop at hoover dam we were too late to see the canyon that night so we decided we would go the next day as well.
The bed was comfortable but it squeeked with every movement we made. Even when my partner gave up and slept on the sofa... It still squeeked at every movement.
We were glad to get back to the resort bed in Vegas, but it was worth it to see the canyon and the history of the hotel was wonderful.

The owners take great trouble to make this hotel vintage cute. It also had clean sheets and overall the suite where we stayed was clean. We stayed in the back of the hotel, in what they call the coach house.

Yet, for $176, this hotel was awful.

A few things:
- Super cold. The temperature dropped to 40 F at night in October. We were freezing under thing blankets. They had some central air super loud, but set on very low (no controls in the room) that did nothing
- The windows were low and tall with air conditioning units for the summer, letting in the cold
- There was a drafty back door that did not help with keeping out the cold
- In the front room there was an old door, which the owners turned into a shelf; no insulation
COLD from all sides
- The plaster on the walls was crumbling (see pictures) and there was a crack in the wall
- Bathroom was outdated with a flimsy old shower; the room was super cold too!
- The room was also dusty, with inadequate curtains that did not keep out light, dust or cold
- People would walk by at night in the alley and in the parking lot right in the back. It felt like they could kick down the air conditioning units, or the back door any time and walk in. Loud. Weird.

Would not stay here again. Would not recommend.

Room tip: Maybe ask for room in main hotel.

I booked this hotel confidently, but got a little more nervous nearer my stay with some of the negative comments. We arrived for the reopening of the hotel for 3pm, It open 10 mins early. We were pleasantly greeted by the owner who checked us in, but gave us a list of available rooms to choose from. We were torn between the Paris Room or the Nautical Room, but chose the Paris. We were shown the combination lock for return after 9pm. We were also shown the tea/coffee lounge which also has a fridge and microwave. The hotel is not new or a chain hotel, but is very clean, friendly and great character. We loved it and would recommend it. Centrally located for everything in Williams.

Room tip: Arrive early, you can pick your own room

We were quoted a price last night with a confirmation and today we were charged another price. The man behind the counter said it wasn't his fault that they booked us
the wrong room. Then he said we were not the only ones coming from Vegas. We also got charged 50 dollars more than quoted. There are no options for tonight... how rude can you be to your guests?? # look for another hotel. Not a place we recommend.

The hotel is very nice, the rooms and beds are very comfortable. Spenser's Bar had great drinks and good menu. Walking distance to downtown Williams. Staff was friendly and always willing to help. If you are taking the train to the Grand Canyon it is within walking distance. Highly recommend
