“What a lovely surprise”
Reviewed 20 August 2014

It was my first motel stay. we had been up to the Grand canyon and all of the lodges were full. In a panic we drove out and tried places along the way. eventually I got onto trip advisor and called the Rodeway Inn. The wonderful woman on the desk stayed open late to wait for us to arrive. The bed was huge, the deco was modern (not essential obviously but a nice touch) and the Wifi was great. Also breakfast was great, I'm gluten intolerant which isn;t great in the US but there were lots of options and I came away very full :) All in all a great stay, dearer than the other motels of the trip, but very worth it.

Room Tip: They all looked good to be honest

After seeing a lot of terrible Motels along the Route 66 having travelled from Chicago, this has got to be the best so far! Location was perfect, within easy walking distance of shops and restaurants etc, but away from the hustle and bustle so that you get a good nights sleep!! Looks like it has recently been refurbished, no expense spared to make these lodges homely and comfortable. Everything with a rustic and organic feel, I loved our room and the reception area decor! Breakfast was great, everything really clean and the staff could not have been more helpful :)

Room Tip: Any room would be lovely!

We were on our way back to Las Vegas when we decided to stay here rather than in a hotel in Flagstaff. Just like other reviewers, we were unsure about our decision until we unlocked the door to a lovely room. Very clean, well equipped and modern. Plenty of room for a one night stay, and well placed to explore the town, which we did the following day. Breakfast was a bit sparse but for the price it was very good value for money. Look no further is my advice if you are on your way through.

The room was amazing and the staff was very friendly. The breakfast was spectacular and included eggs, sausage, waffles and a whole lot more. Couldn't ask for more, BEST motel on Route 66.

Can't wait to come back to visit The Grand Canyon again and stay at this world class motel.

This is a very old property that has been nicely kept up and remodeled. Our room had a king bed that pretty much took up the whole room. There was three feet of space between the bed and walls on two sides and four feet on the window side. There was a chair, no table to set things on, barely room to park your suit cases. The room was nicely decorated and seemed clean.

The bathroom was small, the toilet had a very low seat which is harder for people with orthopedic issues.

The room would have been a lot more functional for us with a queen bed and a table and two chairs.

The free breakfast was good.

Room Tip: Check the size of room before booking. We believe there are larger rooms than what we had.

First let's start by saying never judge a book by its cover. Pulled up building didn't look 4 star material. Checked in with Von I belive and he was very helpful suggested a great restaurant for dinner.
Opend the door to the room and fell in love. You get your money's worth. Comfortable beds clean everything. Just all around great place to stay.

This was such a lovely stop on our road trip.
Audrey welcome us ana was so friendly, informative and efficient. The rooms were lovely- we him had 4. The double bed room were a good size, beautifully furnished and decorated with very comfy bed and good quality towels and sheets. The double queen bed suite (113) had a small area with seats fridge microwave and tv then a separate bedroom with 2 beds. Ice was in an area along the veranda and the veranda itself was nicely laid out with plants and benches
Breakfast was great- help yourself buffet like so many other motel- but so much nicer- waffles to make, fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, fruit bead, Engkish muffins, sausage and eggs

Overall we wished we were staying longer than the 1 night stop and we'd recommend this to all!
Just regret that we didn't get to the south tin bar up the road! We did make it to the real south run though which was awesome!
