We stayed a night in caboose #2 and it was so much fun! All the conveniences of a standard motel room, but WAY cooler to our 10 year old son who got to sleep in an authentic caboose bunk in the rear quarters. Conveniently located near Bearizona and the Grand Canyon.

This was the perfect place to stay with my young daughter on our way back to California from the Grand Canyon. We stayed in one of the cottages and she loved it! The gals checking us in were friendly and had great recommendations for eating in town. I would definitely stay here again. The only thing I would let people know is that because it is a landmark Rte. 66 Motel, the rooms do not have central air, at least ours didn't. There was a ceiling fan and another blower type fan that kept the room and us perfectly comfortable.

Rooms were not fancy but clean and cozy. Friendly staff. The grounds were family friendly with grills, fire pit. Great location to South Rim, close enough to drive but not the crowds associated with the Grand Canyon. The town of Williams is full of quirky shops like a step back in time.

We stayed in one of the rooms but they have old rail cars that have been redone, if one had been available we would have liked staying there, although one of them is certified as haunted. This place is not new and fancy, it is a step into the past but is very nice and the staff there is very friendly and helpful.

The camp sites were nice with all hookups, etc.
Laundry room and bathrooms extremely nice.
Convenient to Route 66 shops and restaurants.
One complaint......we were camping and wanted to grill out some burgers one night. You could not use the charcoal grills as area was under fire restriction. There were some nice gas grills up closer to entrance and we checked with office about using them and were told they were for motel guests only.
Seriously??? Campers are there with high dollar rigs and we can’t use a gas grill? The place was not full by any means and we didn’t see anyone else around using the grills. I feel this was ridiculous!!!! I wouldn’t return do to the way the office made me feel.
