“Perhaps the WORST motel stay of all~”
Reviewed 16 October 2013

the bed was like a circus trampoline as a few well-worn wires and a bit of fluff on top passed as a mattress...the "carpet" was sticky with foot disease and funk...had to wear socks to avoid contact...the bathroom door did not close....the drain pipe was missing providing a "hillbily shower" to everyone trying to get through the parking lot...at $60/nite was stark contrast to the lovely and immaculate Desert Inn, where the management cared if the floor smelled/dealt the foot fungus~...and the Mattress almost tossed us onto the floor (which would have been better, if it did not smell/sticky with foot disease)~ horrible place....just sleep in your car~

We (5) stayed for two nights in a family suite with separate bedroom. The room was a bit tight to move around, but satisfactory. The hotel owner was very friendly and helpful (giving us dinner coupons and recommending to go see the nightly gun fight). The hotel is a little far to the restaurants in town to walk if you are feeling lazy after hiking all day in the canyon.

Heading on back west on our trip. Stayed here previously with my husband : ) The front desk man was nice and helpful. Made the suggestion to go to bearizona, which was excellent the baby bears are SOOOO cute! Room was clean and location quiet.

Room Tip: Stay on the end cap!

We stayed in the family suite, which had 3 beds. The rooms was nice, if dated. The beds which is really what we wanted were so so, with at least one bed still having plastic on the mattress. Other then that it was nice. The town itself was nice as well, a little on the touristy side, but nice.

Room Tip: For larger families the family room was a decent deal. Though I wonder if two rooms might have been...

Well worth a stay, very friendly hosts , rooms old but very clean. This is a well priced hotel in a fantastic town. Excellent advice on where to eat and drink. Motel is being refurbished so this will make it even better

Room Tip: Down stairs if you have heaps of luggage

We just got back from a trip to the Grand Canyon. We stayed at the El Rancho Motel in Williams for 2 night. The employees were pleasant and gave us good tips on where to eat and what to go see around the area. The motel was very clean and comfy, the rooms are large with a small refrigerator and a microwave in the room. The office had coffee and fresh danish in the mornings. It is old but on the Historic Route 66, so for you nostalgia buffs this stay is for you. The pool is being renovated right now but it was cloudy every day since it is the rainy season in Arizona. We would definitely stay there again.

Motel is clean, comfortable, and a great find at a great price. The owner is very nice and freely makes recommendations on restaurants and things to do. The motel is at the eastern edge of Williams on fabled Route 66. Everything is within walking distance though if you want to drive there is plenty of parking available. Room included fridge, coffee maker, and microwave. A very relaxing evening, would definitely stay again.
