The desert is not my favorite place, but this hotel was a little oasis in the middle of it. It is very clean and the beds were very comfortable. It was nice to have a fridge in the room. Everything was updated and very clean. It had a nice pool area and a beautiful lobby area. There was a small desk with a computer and a small fitness center.
I really thought the breakfast was great. We had eggs, sausage, potatoes, pancakes that were made in a machine right in front of you and tasted wonderful. There were danishes, biscuits and gravy, fruit, cereal and juice. The pancake machine was having problems but it finally worked. The person running the breakfast was so sweet. She was running back and forth trying to keep everything restocked as fast as she could, and some people weren't very patient. She kept a great attitude!!

Honestly...I was a bit apprehensive when I saw this Motel...From the outside its a dump...but after letting the owners know I was traveling alone. They gave me a great little room in a safe area of the Motel...Room is OK..Clean and well equipped...WFI is working great...For 1 night...and on the road where nothing else really looked any better...Its OK..

We checked into the Winslow Inn, granted they showed us the room in advance because of cx policy we went with the room. After looking the room over we were rather disappointed due to the shabby state the room was in. The towel racks were torn off the wall, the overhead light fixtures were exposed and the carpet was very worn. We were a little concerned about our vehicle upon seeing the other vehicles in the lot and during the night hearing some of the other guest . Needless to say after a restless night we were up and out of there by six in the morning.

We found our room to be very well equipped, and all the linens very clean. There was a large fridge/ freezer, microwave, coffee-maker and good size flat screen TV. The water was hot and shower pressure perfect. The WiFi signal was the strongest and most reliable we have experienced in three weeks of travelling. The bed was very comfortable. At breakfast the coffee was excellent and pastries very good.

This is a budget hotel. If you expect perfection expect to pay appropriately. The owners of the Winslow Inn are very friendly and will clearly do whatever they can to ensure a comfortable stay. Yes, there are some cosmetic issues which they are working in, but for the great price, location, and cleanliness, we would stay here again.

so to start with , the steel door was warped and the security chain was broken. The black out curtains had hole in them and cuts too which really showed up big time when the sun came up. The bed was horrible - the worst one on our 25 day adventure . the carpet needs cleaning. The bedspread had cuts and tears in it. We got rid of it and the blanket because we did not know when it had been cleaned last and truth be told, was very shabby. the bed had no padding on it and one of the springs on the right side of the bed was sprung. This is really a low budget place. The room was small but there was two chairs and a table, microwave and refrig and decent sized TV.
The shower curtain had stains on it and the entire bath area was gross. The ceiling was in shambles.
There were a number of rooms with long term people living in them.
I booked this due to the TripAdvisor rating but I think the ratings have been salted by friends of the owner. We stay in hotels/motels/resorts about 20-30 days a year.
Breakfast for us was a McDonalds as it was just a few packaged sweetgoods available. The area though must be fairly safe, the police station is across the street. If the owner tells you to go to Bojo's for a meal, go somewhere else. For a very, very small taco salad we paid $10 each

I went to the motel's website and since I couldn't find an option to choose a non-smoking room, I had to call. The receptionist didn't know for sure what they had available although the website said they had X number of each type of room. I made the reservation for a king bed room for my husband's trip. He was told when he arrived that there were no single bed rooms left, king or queen, and he was given a two bed room which almost always means tighter quarters. Guess there wasn't room for a chair because there wasn't one. He tried to sit on an old metal luggage rack to use his computer. Didn't work which was OK because the wi-fi was so bad he couldn't hold a connection. The photos on their website almost make the place look glamourous but it isn't. It IS across from the Police Station so he felt safe. It's the first time he's said "I'm glad you aren't here" instead of wish you were here. Need I say more except that I felt bad for him? We wouldn't recommend this motel to anyone.

I would love to give this hotel 5 stars because the owners are so nice and accommodating, but that wouldn't be appropriate. This is a old hotel. The rooms have a musty smell and the carpet needs to be changed in most of the rooms. They show you available rooms and you can choose which one you want. Some rooms are better than others, for sure. So, take them up on their offer, and look at the rooms before settling for one. The rooms are clean, sometimes room service is inconsistent though. They come when they feel like it, change the sheets when they want, don't give enough towels, or just don't come. If you let the front desk know, you will have room service the next day, but doesn't assure you'll have it for your whole stay. Breakfast is slim, honey buns, danishes, orange juice, and coffee, that's it. I'm assured that they're working on this. They're also trying to upgrade the rooms slowly. The rooms all have blow dryers now, which is excellent. Wi-fi works great, Cable TV great channels. This is not a fancy place, but for the price it's appropriate. It is located across the street from the police station, I felt safe.

Room Tip: Rooms on the backside are nicer
