We spent one night in the most spacious, level pull through spot with our 5th wheel, surrounded by nothing but nature, views, Hopi rock paintings, kivas and archeological treasures. Oh, and rattle snakes. Watch your step. Winslow is only a quick 15 to 20 minute drive away. You can see city lights in the distance at night and the very distant buzz of Interstate 40 and the train. The park's visitor center offers information and merchandise and a map for the hiking trails. The trails are well marked and groomed, making it easy to access the sites. The gound is literally covered in historic pottery shards. Well worth the visit!
