“Nice place with a good price and great staff!”
Reviewed 23 January 2014

We stayed here on our way to Colorado for Christmas. The room was decent, comfy beds and good sized televisions. They gave drink vouchers that were good for 2 drinks in the restaurant/lounge that was connected to the motel. Downsides to this place- we asked for a non-smoking room (which we got), but it was right next to smoking rooms so the hallway reeked of old cigarette smoke. However, once we were in our room, we couldn't smell the cigarette smoke at all. The upsides, the price was fantastic, the staff was so welcoming/accommodating (shout out to Erica!), and the location was good-it's right next to the freeway, and has a grocery and other stores right behind it. If we find ourselves in Winslow again, we'll stay here.

This motel is showing its age, but our room was sparkling clean. The bed was comfortable, and the electronics, Wi-Fi and TV, worked well. Service was excellent. Breakfast was good, with the usual options. For the price, this is a great place to stay, and we would definitely go back.

Room Tip: 2 queen beds is cheaper than one king.

I had read some reviews that mentioned toilet paper jammed into the peephole among other things and thought it couldn't be that bad. I was wrong. I stayed in room 105 and there really was toilet paper in the peephole, sandpaper like floor in the shower, smelly, dark, and major water damage in the bathroom. Also, the inside rooms center on a swimming pool so, as I mentioned, it's dank and dark. On the upside, the staff was very nice and gave us drink vouchers for the restaurant, which looked quite busy. Also coffee in lobby 24/7.

Room Tip: Not room 105

We stopped in Winslow Quality Inn on our way to Mesa AZ. There was a mistake on the reservation Expedia booked us in for January. Sandy the clerk at the front desk was so helpful signed us into a room and then he dealt with Expedia The room and bathroom were clean, beds comfortable and The inside pool was huge and the seating area looked inviting. They have laundry facilities, and the restaurant has great food
It is easy to reach from the Hwy and the price is reasonable. Will certainly stay there again.

We stopped in Winslow, AZ on our way home from Texas. Our destination was originally Flagstaff, but due to the massive amount of traffic (everyone seemed to be traveling back home after the Christmas holiday) most of the cool hotels were already booked. We decided that Winslow might be a fun little diversion. I booked the Quality Inn online. When we arrived, the hotel clerk seemed like she was a little put out by having to wait on us. I tried to be pleasant, but she was just not very friendly.

Our room was fine. I was a little worried because I don't prefer to be on the first floor, but it was okay. The hotel is a little old and run-down, but the room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. It was late so we went to the restaurant which is conveniently located in the hotel. The food was amazing!! My husband ordered the special - the schnitzel! Pork schnitzel, roasted red potatoes and FRESH green beans!! It was really well done! Who would have thought? Yes, the restaurant is well worth the cost of the hotel room. The only thing I found odd was the situation with the alcohol. There's a lounge attached to the lobby and restaurant, but apparently you are not able to take alcoholic beverages out of this tiny lounge. You can't take a glass of wine into the restaurant to enjoy with dinner, you can't order wine with your dinner. And you can't take your glass to your room. That's the first time I've ever run into that. The next morning, we enjoyed the hot continental breakfast.

The staff was a little less than stellar upon arrival. The waiter in the restaurant was amazing, but the hotel clerk and the bartender in the lounge were awful.

Room Tip: I wouldn't recommend a room on the first floor. It doesn't seem like the safest place, thoug...

The woman at the counter was amazing. She was friendly, happy, and fun to talk to. We were looking forward to a great stay. The indoor pool looked great, although we didn't head down there. We stayed on the second floor. The floors are concrete, and nice and quiet. We had one instance of people being loud down at the pool, but the staff took care of that quickly. The bed was a 8 of 10. Comfortable, squishy where it needed to be, supportive the same way. Where everything fell apart was the bathroom, and the feel of the place overall. It is an older hotel, but not shabby. The bathroom had rust on the door frame, there was peeling paint on the ceiling, the area around the frame including the light switch was close to gross. Something I've said in previous reviews that I will reiterate here is that cleaning needs to be the one to identify and notify maintenance. Maintenance needs to own the resolution of issues identified by cleaning. If you see it, then call it out, and fix it. The wonderful people who clean rooms every day know how the room should look. If it's not right, then they should take it personally and get the issue resolved. If they notice it's not resolved in a timely fashion, then they should take it to the manager. We wouldn't stay here again.

Room Tip: Pick the south side of the building. It's the furthest from the Freeway.

We had been on the road for over two weeks and had been through some horrible icy cold weather from Dallas to Amarillo and beyond. We needed to wash our clothes, eat a good meal and sleep in a good bed. Winslow was a good place to stop and Tripadvisor recommended this place. It was near the freeway and the price was good. What a find. And we noticed a laundromat on the other side of the parking lot... With a car wash attached. The woman who checked us in was delightful and helpful. When we said we were off to wash clothes and car, she mentioned the laundry facilities on the property, but we had six loads (it really was a long trip!) and a road salt covered car so we went next door. There was also a Safeway nearby so we could get soap and other things we needed. Kind of one stop shopping. The laundromat was clean with a helpful woman attendant who pointed out that we didn't need six washers, just a couple triple load ones. With car and clothes clean, we started to look for a place to have dinner. Tripadvisor (again) ranked the one at the hotel as very good and it was close, so we ate there. Had fish and chips with catfish. A first for me and it was delicious... And fresh. All you can eat night, but one serving was plenty. Two free beers came with the room. The owner stopped by our table (and all the others, too.). This was a real find and when we're back in this part of the country, we'll stop again... Oh, and they take dogs for very little extra.
