“Just like family”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 August 2012

The worst thing about STGR is the leaving. My family and I have just returned from our 3rd visit and it was amazing.. Carrie greats you with a big smile and shows you round, meal times are courtesy of Tony, the food is fantastic. Dan, Carrie's husband potters around looking after maintenance making sure everything is pristine. Raygan, Tony and Vicky's two year old daughter provides dining room entertainment and sometimes sings. The wranglers look after the superb horses. Guests relax and make friends by the pool, or watching the sun set (spectacular). leaving is a teary affair and to sum up on leaving this time Carrie said I had a special family I replied just like yours that's why we love it here..

Just left SCTR and without doubt it as the best holiday experiance ever.
The staff are the best and Precher Craig is unique! We even got him to take his Stetson off! Tony's cooking is fantastic and even our picky 14 year old ate everything. Cannot recommend it highly enough, we will be back . . . John, Karen, Nathan and Danielle

STGR is a wonderful place if you want to relax, enjoy the American ranch experience, ride horses and meet some friendly people from all over the world. This was our first visit to STGR and we absolutely loved it. The ranch is hidden away from the main roads and settlements but offers a lot of activities. A lot of people were initially put off by the dirt road (circa 20 miles) that leads to the ranch but for us it was not a problem. We actually made several trips to the neighbouring towns and the dirt road didn’t really put us off.

The rides were superb, the Wranglers (Jef and Patrick) were amazing! They really do take you out on some amazing rides and even new riders get to experience canter (loping) once they've been inducted.

The staff are friendly and let you just get on with it. They are very accommodating (for disabled people and people with allergies, vegetarians etc).

We hope that we will visit STGR again soon, even though we have always said that we'd never go back to the same place twice.

p.s if you like exploring you can visit: Kingsman, Lake Havassu, Grand Canyon (South Rim – do not go to the West Rim), Route 66, Flagstaff and more.

We were initially sceptical as there are only excellent reviews, but the ranch lives up to its reviews!

Recommended stay time is several days to a week or more. All inclusive - You "want" for nothing except anyone you left at home because the scenery and experience needs to be shared with people you love! I went with my girlfriends and we all had such a great time. We are all in our 40s and 50s so spending a week together could have been "challenging" but the way the Ranch was designed everyone could find personal space if needed, but no one ever did.
Everyone needs to experience this oasis from reality! The food was first class! Something for everyone (including vegetarians)
The owners and hosts, Dan & Carrie Rynders treated us all like family. We were lucky enough to meet Carrie's Mom, Edith who was so nice and helpful. We were there on Mother's Day and enjoyed seeing three generations of Moms (Edith, Carrie and Vicki together. Luckily the family takes it easy on Sundays.
The wranglers were so much fun, keeping our safety and comfort around the horses thier #1 priority. One of my friends was in a wheel chair and I am a stroke survivor so it was great for each of us to be included in every moment of every day. I have to admit, I did not feel my disabilities once the entire time I was there which was a vacation in itself. I want to thank my Rynders family the wranglers very much for my favorite vacation ever! God Bless you all for giving special needs folks freedom to live it up and be safe!

Even though my husband and I are by no means horse riders we loved the rides everyday and filled in our time with long walks taking in the beautiful scenery or just hanging out at the pool with our books. It was the most relaxing vacation we have ever gone on. At first we didn't want to write a review, we wanted this spot to be our little secret but every one needs to experience a rest from the rat race we are running in. The food was excellent and couldn't wait to see what the next meal would bring. The staff was so friendly we really felt like we were leaving home when our time was up. I would recommend this ranch to every one it was the most horsetastic vacation ever.

There is not a lot we can say that hasn't already been said by previous reviewers! Everything about STGR is fantastic from the riding, rooms, food, wrangers, hosts and hospitality. Sitting on the swing with a glass of wine watching the sun set and then gazing at the stars - absolute bliss. Go and see for yourself - you won't be disappointed! Thank you everyone at STGR. Hopefully we will return one day.

Back again from another great visit to Stagecoach Trails. The food was wonderful as usual and everyone is so friendly. The horses are great and I felt comfortable riding with any of the wranglers. They follow enough rules to keep you safe while giving you a wonderful riding experience. My two year old grandson was entranced by the horses and the room to explore and run. All the wranglers were so patient with him as he had his supervised horsie ride. He learned to say giddy up and yee ha. He could also tell you what coyotes say and that "cactus hurt!" Thanks again to everyone for a great break from the tension of everyday life.

Room Tip: All the rooms are clean and well appointed. The family homes are great for those traveling with chi...
