Great Staff and very knowledgable. Neat displays and grounds to walk around. Sent us to The Yuma Territory Prison for free for filling out a review sheet. Very well kept up.

We arrived late in the day and it was hot. The grounds were well landscaped, the buildings well maintained and the artifacts well arranged. I particularly liked the house (refurnished to the 1870's) and the cargo warehouse (holding numerous vehicles from a 100 year span).
The park and displays emphasized the importance of Yuma as a river crossing and supply nexus. The proximity to the river reminds us how lucky Yuma was to benefit from river traffic. I particularly enjoyed the narrative on the dams of the Colorado river, and the efforts today to restore some of the ecology.
The small and engaging gift shop is supplemented by a really good collection of Arizona history books, and a huge collection of pamphlets for other state and local attractions. If you don't know what to see on your visit, a visit to the rack of pamphlets should help.

There is a large expanse of grassy area and trails next to the river. History displays are OK. Details on the irrigation system are very interesting (but I love construction). We bought items at the farmer's market which is held on the quad on the weekend.

Fun place to vist. Good displays and lots of history. Not a place to go during the heat of Summer, but should be good the rest of the year.

Now called, the Quartermaster's Park, this facility took us back to the late 1800s and provided and excellent experience. You toured the quartermaster's house, the warehouse and other facilities on a well kept landscape. The Yuma visitor's bureau is also located on the grounds.
