The La Fuente Inn and Suites looked promising online, however we found the rooms dull/old fashioned and in need of a makeover - especially the decor and furnishings. Breakfast was buffet style with paper plates and plastic cutlery. Again, the breakfast room, the room furnishings were worn and tired The hotel had a Happy Hour between 5pm - 7pm where drinks are free. I would not recommend this hotel to family or friends unless they were on a tight budget,

Wow what a great find! Clean white sheets + white bed spread (who does that?). Comfortable pillow top bed. Secure safe courtyard with shady lush flower bushes + chairs tables, sidewalks. Pool + Hot tub. Gratuitous Hot dinner snacks (chicken, pizza) with several choice well drinks or variety of beer. Popcorn + Coffee 24/7. Generous Hot breakfast. Great location next to highway. Everybody happy! All included, great price. You will tell your friends.

Room Tip: got a good price with bottom floor wall view and it was very quiet.

We arrived to find out our other hotel had closed their pool & didn't tell us ! We flipped ! La Fuente was a lucky find ! Said come right over & put us in the best room ever ! Like a little oasis in the desert we loved the large/clean pool, Happy Hr, good breakfast & kind staff. They even let us check out a little later for a late flight ! The hotel cat is very friendly as well :) A definite find & will be back !

Room Tip: 141,142 ish. Near the pool, bottom floor, & ice machine :)

Stayed here on the way to San Diego with my husband and granddaughter. Connie greeted me like we were friends, checked us in quickly, and directed us to a place for dinner. The pool was gorgeous, far better than an average, small, basic motel pool. The room was fine, clean, but nothing special. Breakfast was better than most at a hotel. I would highly recommend La Fuente if you're looking for clean, comfortable rooms and an excellent pool but nothing fancy. Keep in mind, this gem was $20 cheaper than the surrounding hotels.

We stayed here last week, just for one night and found that the staff are particularly good, very helpful and polite. The receptionist (sorry, can't spell her name) gave us maps showing places of interest and how to get there.
Happy hour is great, an added bonus. As someone mentioned, the rooms are a bit dark, but very clean and comfortable.
Breakfast was OK, I'm not keen on plastic and paper disposable plates/cutlery, but I suppose it keeps cost down, if not very "green" (do they recycle?). I did not try the hot options.
The pool and surrounding areas are lovely and very well kept. I did not notice too many smokers during our stay, so this did not bother me.
I would go back if in the area.
