Found this little gem totally by accident today while looking for a place to get a salad. Small homey atmosphere. Great for a business lunch. Great menu, fair prices, nice size portions, friendly staff. I would consider this to be one of Yuma's best kept secrets. I hope we can change this from a well kept secret to a well known restaurant hot spot. If you are in Yuma, you need to check them out!

“Just OK”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 June 2014

I ate here on a trip to Yuma. I showed up early before the crowd around 5:15 pm. Service was good as I was one of three tables. I ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai and an ice tea. The SPT was ok. The noodles were swimming in the sauce. It did not taste bad, just way to much. I did get 8 decent sized shrimps, except they were over cooked. That's better then under cooked, but could have been better. Not a ton of options in Yuma, wished this one was better.

“Yuma's Best”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 June 2014

I my opinion, Yuma's best restaurant is the River City Grill. I have eaten here repeatedly over the last 10 months and never been disappointed.

I'd classify the cuisine as "eclectic - tending toward to seafood". There is definitely 'fusion' flare, and seafood is by no means the only thing on the menu. Furthermore, the kitchen is flexible, so off-menu experimentation is not out of the question.

Service, in general, is great. ... Paced to your preferences if you let the staff know. (This may be the only restaurant I have frequented where I'm greeted by a hug from the waitress.)

There is huge amount of outside seating, and during the snow-bird season you can often find large groups dining here.

Accessible wine list, and great bread.

Bottom line: I'm always looking for an excuse to visit.

“5 Star Cuisine”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 May 2014

Arrived in town late and we neglected to consult TripAdvisor for recommended restaurants until our 2nd day here, but you can believe we made a beeline to this quaint little restaurant after reading just a few of the recent reviews. Tastefully Bohemian/eclectic décor, great wait staff, impressive menu! It wasn't very crowded when we came in about 6:00 pm on a Wednesday eve, but it was full before we left. We started with the Vietnamese spring rolls and the hummus for appetizers and were delightfully impressed; very fresh and light! Our entrees included the coconut curried chicken and the mustard crusted halibut. Perfection! The chicken was cooked completely, with melt-in-your-mouth tenderness. The curry sauce was subtle but flavorful; very nicely balanced. The halibut included spinach ricotta raviolis, olive tapenade and lightly grilled veggies. So good, we had to come back the next night to try the blackened salmon and the "Drunken Alaskan Cod." How could these be even better than the dishes the night before? You cannot make a wrong choice here, except to wait too long to experience this 5 Star fare! The portions are just right and the prices are far too reasonable. This little oasis is well worth the time it takes to find it!

“Hooray for Nan”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 May 2014

We are so disappointed that Nan has sold her other restaurant Chaio Bella. That was our favorite romantic and special occasion restaurant. River City Grill is further away for us and menu was more fish than CB but great.
