This is an older Motel 6 however I found it sufficient for a stopover on a roadtrip to San Diego with my 2 dogs.
The staff was helpful and in a convenient location. The price was under $50; this area is saturated with "snowbirds" in the winter so prices everywhere are competitive. If you've stayed at any Motel 6 you notice that most guests have pets as this is one of the few places that doesn't charge for pets.
This property, to me, was more pet friendly as there were grass areas directly outside of the room.
Convenient location off I-8. Safe location.

For the price (mine was about $47 for a weeknite), it cannot be beat.
Central location, near shopping mall and restaurants and right off the "8" Freeway. Front desk staff very nice & helpful.
This is a minimalist hotel, however. Basic, 3 out of 4 stars for cleanliness (no matter where I stay, even if it is a 4 star property, there is always the one renegade hair that got away from the cleaning person that is not yours).
Bring your own shampoo, conditioner, kleenex and alarm clock (they do provide wake up calls if you need one). The room provides the basics-- toilet paper, towels and soap; which may be enough for many people. Also, bring a small coffeemaker if you desire. like to have the ability to make tea in my room at nite. There are none in the room but they do have coffee in the lobby in the morning. To think ahead about these things and save $20 or more per nite, why not? Bed clean and comfortable.

I went to visit my boyfriend (a Marine) in Yuma. He chose this hotel, because of the price. I nicknamed the place Motel Stinky. I don't know why they even bother asking "Smoking or Non-smoking?", because they both smell the same. I wouldn't say the place is filthy, but it's certainly not fresh either!

Booked this hotel almost a month in advance because we were going to visit friends in Yuma. Called less than a week ahead to confirm reservation...no problem, right? WELLLLL....we arrive and there was construction going on in the parking lot, signs in the office said that they would be going on thru the night....(we were never informed of this when I called to confirm and what morons decide to do construction on a 3 day weekend?)we paid about $73 for a queen size smoking room and I asked about when the construction would knock off, said about 5 or 6 pm...no problem, we wouldn't be back to the hotel until after that. We get into the room---IT'S A FULL SIZE BED and the room is terribly small and for two people, there was enough towels for just 1 person!!! No drawers to put clothes in and the room we had was near the laundry/vending machines and near where the housekeeping was. The walls are so thin you can hear EVERYTHING. I barely got any sleep due to all the car alarms going off, plus all the people walking to/from the vending/laundry and then when the housekeeping staff came in, you could definately hear everything they were saying and our window was closed!!! Finally when I started going to sleep, my wake up call came in (which is a positive thing for them, at least they were on time with that!) We got up, showered, checked out and left. I will never stay at a hotel 6 again. Entering this property is easy right off of I-8, but exiting....you have to take a right onto 16th and make a loop around if you want to get back on I-8, we decided to forgo the freeway and went down 16th (which is also 95). The positive of that property---Circle K and denny's next door if you want coffee.

The price is very good for this hotel but I was worried about catching a disease from this place. They were renovating while we were there so the last 2 days of our stay was in a clean room which was nice but I cannot see it staying that way for long. The cleaning staff do the absolute minimum. My wife washed the counters and bathroom floor the first night we got there and the towel turned black. The rug in the old room felt greasy on the feet and looked like it had never been cleaned, The new rooms will be that way soon i'm sure. This is partly due to them allowing pets I suppose. However we saved alot on money.
