The Inn is the perfect place form which to explore the heart of Perthshire. Hill walking in the forests, to the more challenging Schiehallion, which looms to the west of the Inn

This venue is a small Inn on the North side of Loch Tummel. The food is great and the location, overlooking the loch is the stunning. The road out from the A9 nervous Pitlochry may be a bit windy but it is a good road and presents many views in its own right. This Inn is well worth the seeking out.

We ate at the Loch Tummel Inn last Thursday and the meal was really delicious. Not your run of the meal pub grub, but not expensive either.
My husband and I both had the haggis in filo pastry, with irn bru chilli jam and yoghurt and mint haggis ball, really lovely.
For our mains I had Pan fried barberry duck with pickled vegetables, roasted new potatoes and tomato and whisky and herb salsa. Beautifully served, and absolutely delicious.
My husband had the venison with sauteed potatoes, mushrooms, wilted spinach and a juniper berry dressing. Again delicious.
And of course we had to have the sticky toffee pud.
It was a pity we had to travel home the next day or we would have eaten there again.
A lovely location too as we sat at a table overlooking the loch.
Well done to the owners.
