Description: Situated a mere three miles from One of Scotland's most famous viewing points the historic Queens View, The Inn has breathtaking views of it's own to boast out across Loch Tummel. The Inn is the perfect place form which to explore the heart of Perthshire. Hill walking in the forests, to the more challenging Schiehallion, which looms to the west of the Inn

Having spent a lovely week in Pitlochry and eating there each night, we decided to try somewhere different and this establishment came highly recommended on Tripadvisor.
What a pity we ventured out this far.
It looks interesting from outside but inside I must admit was strange. Difficult to describe but more like a rather run down working men's club than a restaurant or a pub.
We ordered two diet Cokes and these were delivered still in their unopened cans, luke warm.
The steak burgers sounded nice and luckily we ordered the extra mushrooms with blue cheese sauce. Without that it would have been bland. The fries were identical to McDonald's but at several times the price.
Overall, a very disappointing but pretty expensive experience.
Not sure if the other comments on here were genuine to be honest. We'll never know because we won't be returning!

Six years ago we stayed at this inn, just a month after the new owners bought the place and it was a pleasant stay. This time we enjoyed a tasty meal. We'll recommend this inn.

Wonderful situation, excellent owners, Tom and Amanda; always happy to oblige, good food, good beer/lager and fine wine. Check opening times; The couple who own it have Mondays off methinks and in the Winter, the times of opening are different. We have stayed here in the past (I think there are probably 8 rooms) and it was very good.

Stopped in for a meal last week and was pleased to see that the quality of service and the food had not changed. A small family run hotel and restaurant set in a stunning location looking across Loch Tummel to the wooded slopes opposite. On a fine evening it is really good to sit in the outdoor eating area, just absorb the scenery and watch the swallows and swifts. If you're lucky, there is often an osprey nesting across the loch. A little gem of a place and well worth the trip.

We stopped by on a Wednesday lunchtime with the kids.
We found a lovely location and exterior but inside a bit shabby and outdated in need of a refit.
The girl serving was very pleas t but on her own and struggling to keep up. Our food arrived ok but others had a long wait.
Food was ok when it did arrive but not worthy of the 5 star reviews on here.
Maybe we hit an "off day".
Stunning views and the scones looked good.
