The pictures on TripAdvisor did not lie... if anything, they could not show the full magnificence of the views from the hotel! If only we had extra few days to stick around and just sit on the terrace and enjoy the scenery!
Rooms: small, but nice and cozy, equipped with floor-to-ceiling windows and a balcony looking towards the mountains. Nevertheless, very cold. Although each room is equipped with a heater, the bathroom window is going directly into the hallway outside (meaning to the "street") with no door or glass, or any cover to cover it up. Our room did not have hot water in the evening and at night, therefore we could not take shower after arriving quite late, and had to brush our teeth while still wearing winter jackets due to the low "street" temperature in the bathroom. Next day when we did have hot water, we've been thinking twice before taking a shower, as the temperature outside was still -10C... my husband had to improvise and stick a pillow into the window opening to be able to warm up the bathroom somehow... MESSAGE TO HOTEL STAFF: Please figure out some kind of cover/window/door in your bathroom window, so it can be used normally.
We've had our breakfast on the terrace overlooking the mountains and facing East. What a spectacular sunrise! Breakfast food was good, and also, the Traditional Nepalese Tea was delicious!More
