A wealth of history and culture displayed elegantly. Have lunch or a snack in the museum's cafe. Gift shop is expensive but has high quality handicrafts. Bathrooms at the museum cafe are clean.

The best museum in all of Nepal, full of wonderful things, well lit and explained . Plenty of room and places to sit .

Great art collection! You can see the king's silver throne here. The museum cafe is also really cute and romantic.

The place is indeed a living museum. It is a nice blend of Hinduism and Buddhism. The temples surrounding the museum area are mesmerizing. A must visit if you are in Kathmandu - find time for Patan. Could have been 5 stars if it was a little bit cleaner.
