“Great introduction to buddhist and hindu art and religion”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 October 2013

A great introduction to buddhist and hindu art and religion. Very nicely laid out and very informative.
Note that you need to pay an entry fee to Durbar square and a separate entry fee to the museum. If you're planning on multiple trips to the square, or are in a nearby hotel and will be coming through on multiple days, then make sure you get the ticket issuers to give you an extended pass - it doesn't cost any extra

“Worthwhile seeing”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 October 2013

We went and the museum and the entire area of Patan is a must see on a visit to Kathmandu. Patan is an artist community that has been frozen in time in many respects so you can actually see great artisans at work. We saw silver, copper and brass smiths and bought a hand made singing bowl that is literally a piece of art work.

“Another Durbar”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 October 2013

One of the three Durbars I visited in Nepal. Two sets of Entrance fee available one for SAARC and China and other for other countries. The beauty of these Durbars should be admired.
But you see one see all whether Kathmandu or Bhaktapur
