With tea in the garden. Beautiful country setting. Very friendly owner and team. Evening meal just average. Room light and airy overlooking the garden. Breakfast excellent. Loved the French toast. The new conservatory will be lovely. Seemed on the expensive side.

We 4 friends had booked ahead of course on our gatronomic trip around France. This place was a delight with beautiful grounds, a lovely pool, spacious rooms with great views. Dinner was excellent and our friendly hostess Martine a pleasure to meet. If you are ever in the area try to choose Concasty as opposed to staying in a local town. It is memorable.

Off the beaten track, when searching for peace, quiet and traditional countryside, lifestyle and cooking, you'll be hard pressed to find anything better. Martine Causse keeps Auberge de Concasty spick and span, and has always served us very high quality menus. Martine has a knack of transforming local vegetables and farm produce into delightful appetizers to accompany an aperitif, try her poontie and breakfast farinette, poached foe gras and delicious auvergnat dishes. Being close by Cahors from Chambert is one of our favourites but the wine list and excellent quality will delight you.
But above all its Martine's childhood countryside that has brought back so many times. Nothing is more satisfying than to wander along the country paths,, admiring Concasty from a hillside, with the Chataigne setting of meandering hills, trees fluffing in the breeze, seemingly happy to listen to the soft melodious music of the bells hung around the cows's necks, a distant dog barking happily and birds happy to see you loving their land
Be warned that your heart rate will fall quite low as you finish your book and magazine faster thanks to the soothing ripples beside the pool.
Peace and tranquility is the major value proposition here, merged with delcious menus, fine wine and the warm friendly Martine and staff, you're unlikely to want to leave

Room Tip: Ask for the verger bedroom for amazing views over the pool, fruit tress and long valley leading to B...

Wonderful place. Very kind and attentive staff. The grounds are beautiful and the buildings are well kept and gorgeous. The food was some of the best we had in France. There is nothing they could do to impove our stay. I wish we had the time to spend another night.

This charming hotel has newer, larger rooms in a separate building which also has a large Billiard table. The Dining Room is most pleasant and the terrace outside overlooks the rolling hills and swimming pool. There is a vegetable garden supplying fresh produce with which the chef does a terrific job. Typically, it seems, there is a set menu for dinner and the Auvergnate spread for Breakfast. The owners supply maps of local hiking trails which go through and around the farms and forests of the immediate locale. Most pleasant hiking up and down hills, over creeks, through the trees, and into the local village, if desired.

The upstairs Bedroom was spacious, with a terrace and 2 bathrooms.

A day trip to Figeac was also most pleasant.

A country locale in the Auvergne very much worth the trip.

Room Tip: Ask for the Terrace rooms in the out building........
