“Quaint, Eccentric, Different and Odd!”
Reviewed 7 May 2014

So who builds a house out of local rocks found in a nearby stream? That's what they did! It's an odd sort of place complete with 75 year old perennials growing in the living room. Very friendly family member leads the tour. Reasonably priced. Makes me want to go rock hunting.

“Interesting”
Reviewed 3 May 2014

We enjoyed seeing this place and would recommend it for a quick and inexpensive thing to see. The granddaughter of the woman who built the house greets you and gives you a brief history of the house then lets you roam the house and grounds on your own. Lots of great photo ops!

“Sooo cool and unexpected attraction off the beaten path!”
Reviewed 23 April 2014

This is a very cool place to visit! The story and history is very intriguing to hear from the caretaker, who I believe is the daughter of the original owner. Be sure to take a camera because you will be able to take some awesome photos if you take plenty of time to look around - especially the gardens surrounding the home's exterior. Well worth spending at least a couple of hours there.

“Haven't visited in years - just the same!”
Reviewed 21 April 2014

Not much has changed in 20 years but we had friends along with us to share the experience and we enjoyed it very much. Entertaining as well as educational in how our grandparents lived and this unique grandmother who built and decorated with stones. Certainly worth the $7 admission. (kids free)
