Silver Ridge Resort

My family had a wonderful time at Silver Ridge Cabin #2. The cabin was very clean, private, and beautiful view. The only recommendation my family has is the bedrooms need ceiling fans, but we would stay again even if that wasn't updated!

The cabins were even better than I thought it would be. Very clean and modern. Also, the Jacuzzi was great! The front porch was fun and the grill let us cook out. Also, the kitchen was good so we didn't have to go out to eat. Very relaxing and enjoyable stay.

My husband and I stayed in the honeymoon cabin. We loved it! It was a good size cabin and clean. Our favorite part was the fact that it was in the middle of the woods away from other people. We will be coming back!

We often stay at The Crescent Hotel or the treehouse at Turpentine Creek, but this trip we wanted something different ... we "happened" upon the sign to Silver Ridge and drove down the country lane ... what a pleasant surprise. We stayed at the Country Cabin and it was very very nice. Clean, uniquely appointed and a great Jacuzzi tub with window view. Deer in the backyard. Sitting on the porch swing you could hear the roars of the lions and tigers drifting thru the woods from Turpentine Wildlife Refuge. Our only complaint was that, because of the time of year we stayed there, we were not allowed to use the indoor fireplace. We felt that the cabin rental should have been reduced if not allowed to take advantage of all the amenities offered in the cabin. That aside, Silver Ridge is worth the money ... wonderful experience!

Room Tip: We prefer a more 'secluded' cabin and The Country Cabin was perfect.

We stayed in a 3 bedroom cabin for 2 nights, it was very cute and had good decor, my issue is that there was soooooo much dust everywhere and cob webs! They want you to clean everything up before you go so its not like they don't have the time to dust! There was a deer head above the stove that was so covered in dust we were almost afraid to cook we thought it might get into our food! this place would be awesome if they would just pay attention to detail!

We've rented cabins several other times, in other places and this one didn't quite meet our expectations for the price we paid. It was clean and comfortable, but just average. The bed linens were old and faded (stained sheet) and the towels were also faded. The cabin was upkept and clean, but outdated. The fireplace was great and we had plenty of free firewood, which was a plus. It was also in a very secluded, quiet location with a great view off the back porch, which was also a plus. Had it not been so cold while we were there we would've spent much more time out there.

The only thing keeping this from being a 5-star review is the absence of a shower in the bathroom, and that only had an effect on me. My wife is a bath-person, so she was happy as a clam.

The setting is spectacular! It's remote, yet only a few short miles from town. You'll have everything you need in order not to leave the cabin if you don't want to - assuming you bring your own food. All the utensils, coffee maker, full-sized fridge, full-sized stove, charcoal grill, fireplace with firewood included.

We went for a weekend in November. The Fall colors were gorgeous, and the deer were very visible and beautiful to watch. Talk an early morning walk, and you'll bump into them, for sure.
